Finally a definitive answer to Asian fit vs Regular, and Oakley seems to designed the glasses to accommodate the differences. I love my Flak 2.0 and soon I'll purchase a pair for my Asian better half.

I have high cheekbones and the Flak 2.0 Asian fit it's me best after trying Oakley Asian fit Two Face and Asian fit Holbrook.

I suggested the XL nose pads (which Oakley doesn't make) in order to raise the bottom of the lenses further from high cheekbones.

I got a problem , maybe u can help. I cycle alot and sweat like crazy. My Oakley Half Jacket XLJ's have nice cheek clearance but the brim sits right on my eyebrows and they fog up alot. I recently got a pair of Oakley Radar EV Path Prizms. The venting is great but I sweat so much I have to remove them constantly to wipe my eyes. Just wondering if the Asian Fit may be my answer ? (BTW - I got a nose like Rob in the video)

Hello bobski36! Most asian fit frames will come with larger nosepads to help the glasses sit a little bit farther from your face. However, Oakley recently introduced Advancer Technology which is designed specifically to prevent fogging. I would recommend checking out the Flight Jacket: www.sportrx.com/blog/oakley-flight-jacket-first-look/ or the Field Jacket: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gYCFytydgdyxmbg.html. Both of these frames feature Oakley's Advancer Technology which works by pushing the frames forward on your face, keeping the optical center aligned and increasing airflow. Hi there! You may be referring to Oakley MNP models: www.sportrx.com/blog/oakley-trubridge-technology-mnp-prescription-glasses/ The asian fit Flak 2.0 does come with beefier nosepads to help the sunglasses sit off your face and avoid contact with your cheeks.

So for the radar ev do I have to get a different frame if I get an Asian fit lens for my pair

The best of my knowledge the only difference on that set between the regular and Asian fit is the nose pad. so the lenses should interchange with each other.

I want to know about lens flak 2.0 xl. it can replace for flak 2.0 asian fit . because I want to buy replacement lens 2.0XL BUT I HAVE 2.0 ASIAN FIT. I WILL THANK YOU VERYMUCH IF YOU ANSWER ME.

Hello, they will not fit. The Flak 2.0 Asian fit is a different size lens. It is not compatible with the other Flak 2.0's.

Hello, after 7 years, the Asian Fit (now called Low Bridge Fit) version still have no Deep/Shallow water polarized lens. Will the Sapphire/Jade poarized lens do similar work as the water ones?

Hello Silas! There are many asian fit versions of popular models that have been released since this video was published. The asian fit models have slightly different fits due to the frame size but all feature a larger nosepad. Finally! I've avoided Oakleys because none of them fit me, the lens rests on my cheeks and irritates/rubs my skin.

I just bought the Flak 2.0 non asian fit and its kinda tight around the temple area. Are the asian fit Flak 2.0 frames wider to the point where makes the arms a little further apart??

Yes, the Flak 2.0 Asian fit model is wider. In the past, Oakley has made the difference between the non-Asian and Asian model to only be the nose pad, but with the Flak 2.0, they did a full frame redesign. If the pair you have now is only slightly too tight, it is a safe bet that the Asian fit will be better!

SportRx I have a question for you...I have a problem with Oakley glass lens..I noticed that "bubbles" will form on the lens after awhile for no particular reason....and to date no one can give me an explanation.I have experienced this on two of my glass lenses..clearly a defect...oh...btw I always enjoy your videos....

Thank you for reaching out to us! That is something that has been seen happening to all coatings and lenses that are out there. The first thing that comes to mind is exposure to extreme heat. Perhaps being left in a hot car? That can do a number on lens coatings. Another thought is the lenses being exposed to any sort of astringent spray or lens cleaner. That can break down the coatings as well. We don't get the complaint much, though. Oakley makes a quality lens, for sure! If you have ordered any of those from us, then we should likely be able to cover that sort of thing for you!

SportRx Thank you for your reply.....first of all..I thought sunglass are made to stand extreme heat ( not over open flame of course!) I did not leave it in a hot car neither did I use astringent sprays....in fact I kept it in a cool plc.! Oh I just for your info I have a pair of FILS sunglass for over 10 years which does not have tis problem & it's kept in a hot car day & night.! puzzling isn't it.??

Evolution High alcohol sprays will deteriorate the lens. If you use the lens cleaner Oakley sells then you shouldn’t have an issue with these bubbles.

Has she ever tried the Flak 2.0 XL with just the Asia Fit nose pad? How does that compare in terms of fit to the full Asia Fit version?

Best we can tell from a quick Goggle image search it was the Flak Jacket XLJ. The new version of that would be the Flak 2.0 XL.

Hello doc allan, I would recommend asian fit if you have had issues with frames touching your cheek bones, lenses hitting your eyelashes, or nosebridge fit. Based on your facial structure description these will benefit you. Thanks for reaching out!

He should have put on both too for us to see the difference on a narrower head

Are these polarized?

Some frame+lens combinations come polarized, others non-polarized. When you go to the frame page and click on the small icons, it will note the frame color and lens type that is included. e.g. COLOR: Polished Black - Prizm Black Polarized www.sportrx.com/oakley-flak-2-0-asian-fit.html

The only recommendation I can suggest to make the Flak 2.0 Asian fit even better is to have them come with XL nose pads!

+Secret Asian Man I thought the only difference between standard and XL would be the lense and nose pads should be the same whether you get XL or not. double check?

very helpful video. But I think it would be more relevant to compare Flak 2.0 Asian fit lense with Flak 2.0 regular lenses (not XL. In your video you compared asian fit lense with XL lense, which have huge difference in terms of cheek clearance due to shaping. asian fit lense vs non-XL standard lense would be more relevant comparison.
