Anadolu'nun pek çok yerinde Trabzonlu köyler vardır. Trabzon ipek yolunun Karadeniz'e açılan yeridir stratejik olduğu kadar ticaret ve liman kentidir. Osmanlı'nın en büyük eyaletlerinden biriydi. Sanayiye uygun arazi olmadığı için yoğun göç vermiş şehir belli bir gelişmişlik düzeyini asamamistir.. aynı zamanda Osmanlı sancak sehirlerindendir. Yavuz sultan selim 21 yıl valilik yapmış kanuni bu şehirde doğmuştur. Başta sarıkamış olmak üzere pek çok savaşta Trabzonlular başı cekmistir. @@ChrisAssassinGamer λέει ότι υπάρχει ένα μοναστήρι ελληνικό στην Τραπεζούντα και όλοι το σέβονται και το αναγνωρίζουν ως ελληνικό και το προστατεύουν, τώρα αν η Τραπεζούντα είναι (πλέον) Ελληνική , ε ρε φίλε κυριολεκτικά η συνθήκη που έγινε έγινε για να μην υπάρχουν επεκτατικα ζητήματα πλέον (άλλο που υπάρχουν προφανώς) οπότε για μένα δεν μπορούμε να βλέπουμε τι ήταν κάποτε ελληνικό κτλπ , πρέπει να μάθουμε να ζούμε με τους γείτονες και δεν γίνεται αν ο ένας θέλει να φάει τον άλλον
