道後温泉の泉質～美人の湯～
道後温泉には18本の源泉があり、汲み上げられた湯は、「分湯場」と呼ばれる施設に集められます。分湯場では、20度から55度の温度の源泉と源泉をブレンドすることで42度程度の適温にして、道後温泉本館などの公衆浴場やホテルに送られてきます。
アルカリ性単純泉の湯質は、きめ細やかな日本人の肌に優しいなめらかなお湯で、刺激が少なく、湯治や美容に適しています。
The quality of Dogo Onsen hot spring water is described as "Bijin no yu ～beauty water～"
Dogo Onsen has 18 different springs, and the water drawn from these springs is gathered at facilities called "bun'toujou" (分湯場). At the "bun'toujou", the water ranging from 20 to 55 degrees Celsius is blended to achieve a temperature of around 42 degrees Celsius, which is suitable for use at places like the Dogo Onsen Honkan (main building), public bathhouses, and hotels.
The water is an alkaline simple spring type, known for its gentle and smooth texture that is kind to the delicate Japanese skin, making it ideal for therapeutic and beauty purposes.
