    @@BORN-to-Run Because its very easy to win a judgement against someone but not so easy to collect it. A judge can order that this person owes you 3k but the government can only collect small amounts by garnishing a fragment of their income. If they have no assets? There is very little that can be done to make a person pay. If they do own property? You can get a lawyer to help attempt to put a lien on the property.

    That's true. In Cincinnati a neighbor's dog attacked me & my dog. Almost disemboweled my poor Sparky! I was awarded "500 in court which covered Sparky's surgery & post op medicine. There was even a stipulation that if he bought a new car, he was to sell it & give me the money. A year passed & there he was driving in a new Camero and I walked right up to him & wrote down the license number and took a picture. Took it to the courts and I still never saw a dime! He died about 10 years ago

Probably just clothes and personal items. Not much there. First the probate court pays the funeral costs.     So the takeaway is this...O.J. owed a PILE of money to the IRS, so there won't be a payout for the wrongful death lawsuits. The attorney says that O.J. had 3 "super powers." Maybe so, but he can't trump GOD, the Father Almighty. "It is appointed unto man once to die...then the JUDGMENT." He could have confessed and repented on his death bed, but didn't strike me as the type who would do it.
