O Gauge Layout Tour with Tom Davis
#OGauge #Lionel #3rail #MTH #tsgmultimedia
Tom Davis has a slightly different approach toward 3 rail O. While his collections includes a lot of what you might expect, he has also done a lot of kitbashing and scratch building, and that goes for the equipment as well as the structures on the layout!
The inclusion of these modified and scratch-built creations is in large part due to Tom's friendship with other O scale modelers who made an impact through their own modeling, as told by Tom on this program all about his miniature empire.

Wow a very nicely done hi rail layout!
NICE LAYOUT
Congrats for that wonderful layout 👍🏻
Fantastic layout
Wonderful video, good lighting, excellent communication, super job… Many folks trying this should watch this and learn how it’s done right… Excellence is not an accident!
Thanks so much John for bringing this wonderful HiRail O gauge layout to our attention. My bias is showing when I say I really enjoy some 3-rail O-scale coverage. Tom has done a wonderful job on his layout and his fine work needs to be recognized for all the effort it took to achieve such a fine level of detail to what some consider toy trains.

G'day Tom, howdy from New Zealand and a fellow O scaler albeit a 2R modeller. A nicely put together clip, a great layout and neat story. Thanks for sharing your modelling journey. Best Regards Brent

Very nice ! Your attention to detail is amazing
Lived in Newhall from 1975-2011. Saw the Saugus station everyday. Station was used in the Sinatra picture "Suddenly" when it was in it's original location.

If you saw Saugus Station every day, that would make it an everyday occurrence!
One great-looking O Gauge layout, and excellent modeling too. The reference to the third rail would probably refer to the weathering and darking of it, almost masking it.
Brilliant video
Wow.
Very very nice!!
Love 4294 and have also sat in the cab.
Beautiful layout! Well done. Only one comment. Please paint the side of your outside rails rust color! That would finish off the track so that it looks like it should. Thanks for sharing.
Ok, now with GREAT respect: this layout is wonderful. While I could (and probably am wrong) it appears that 3 rail O gauge runs flawlessly, when in fact, there are many more problems with 2 rail O gauge. I could be wrong! Personally, I can't come to grips with 3 rail track, but that's my problem. A wonderful layout nevertheless. Thank you for this video.
Hi neighbor! Lived in Newhall from 1975-2012.If,you make a wrong turn and windup in Menifee, I'll show you my Lionel post war with working drive-in movie theatre.
The light at the AC cabforward stack allowed the firemen to see the smoke column during darkness. It was prototypical on all SP cabforwards.
Thank you, sir! Are the big curves 72 degree? Best wishes.
What brand of signal lights is that? Also where did you get the signs like "W" post?
Where did you get all the turn outs?
I'd have to see the scratch built process to believe it?
