Can you you teach these songs in the original keys. I love how you teach. It would be awesome if the songs were in original keys instead of key of C

Hi Shakira, We do teach a lot of the songs in the Key of C since a lot of our students are beginners. The Key of C is sometimes the easier key to pick up and go with. So enjoy your teaching style! Question.... do you ever invert chords to avoid bouncing around the keys? I am not sure when inversion is good and when it muddies the chord variances...

Hi Robert. Yes I do teach inversions in our workshop: www.simplifiedpiano.com/workshop For the beginner I think it’s more important to learn the simple chords in root position and then later on learn to invert.

There are a few songs that I show inverted chords. I use them all the time in my own playing but have found that keeping it as simple as possible is best for the tutorials. I do have a bit of a inversions teaching in our basic online course if your interested in something like that at all. www.simplifiedpiano.com

It is student led tongiht if you dknt know what that is it is where the kids lead worship and lesson and this was so helpful! Wish me luck! Im up next!

Hi Maise, you'd "transpose" your song. Change out your chords like the following: C=G dm=Am em=Bm F=C G=D Am=Em Bdim=F#dim
