Volpe may be a good fielder, but he has limited range, especially to his right. He also has a less than average arm, who routinely makes low throws to first. Besides, he appears to be a streaky hitter with no baseball IQ. It makes you wonder what fundamentals are taught in the minors. I still would rather put him at 2B and get a better SS.

The Yankees need to hire an older baseball coach who knows how to relate to grown men the chips are down, they have some great fking player boone don't know how to get the best out of them, Look at how well ex Yankees coaches are doing.

Can you imagine how pumped up Boston was after seeing a Devers homerun knocking Cole out of the game? I bet that was on the top of the to-do list for Boston coming into NY and they succeeded.

Sorr6 I couldn’t watch this great show earlier. Liked the video. I TOTALLY respect the criticisms about Volpe. But I ‘ve been shouting into the void for over 3 weeks that he needs at least two days off. Volpe has played EVERY SINGLE GAME BUT ONE. So much of what you see is a physically tired and worn down dude. But almost all of the valid criticisms of Volpe show that what Volpe really needs is a MENTAL respite. What so you fellas?

Does Boone even move from his arm hanging spot in the dugout? How is that a good manager? Even if he shoots the shit with the players, it'd be something! Even psyching out the opposing team by holding a blank piece of paper and "hide" a conversation with the catcher, pitcher and/or 1st baseman. Make the other team overthink. Anything but letting your hitters only see 40 pitches going into the 5th inning!!! Lay bunts! Just do SOMETHING different!

Hope so. I'm on strike as a Yankee fan until he is fired. He does not have passion to win. His dad was an MLB player. His brother was an MLB player. He is in the Major League Hierarchy. MLB royal blood you might say. But he is not a real leader- just one of the boys. The players love him because he fits in - in the clubhouse. But He cannot win the big ones. My cousin Michael Tyson played for the Chicago Cubs for 9 years. His son Torre Tyson- named after Joe Torre was in the Yankee organization for over 10 years. Now a scout for the Detroit Tigers. His grandson is a catcher for the Louisville Cardinals of the ACC.His name Tagger Tyson. Look them all up. I know my baseball. I know how to motivate. Be nice be get Boone out of there. You need a leader not a friend to the players. You don't have a winning ball team with everyone loving each other. You need players that compete with each and want to win. Enough said. Boone is not a bad person but does not have the talent or that desire to push the team to higher levels. Let him go !

The Yanks have one of the most stacked minor leagues. We have 2nd, 3rd catcher and an outfield spot with a guy in his yearly slump . A DH on the IR, and Rizzo covered with Rice . Cover for the other spots languishing in the minors. Call them up and put pressure on the backups on the 26 that $uck at this point. Send someone down and put a fire under their asses.

Ya Volpe is not a problem if you don't ask him to play hero. He's swinging at stuff because he's under too much hero pressure for a rookie. He's not not the hitter I saw in the minors just doing his job and you're not going to get a better defender unless you trade the farm.

Boones contract up after this year, they better not bring him back, if I were Soto I would go right to Hal and tell him if u want me to stay, Boone needs to go!

I need Volpe to stop hanging out with Torres or else he'll become the next failed prospect in a couple years.

So true!!! They need to not worry about how many chains there are wearing and going to basketball games and go learn how to catch fly balls.

Boone does not demand accountability, 100% effort & concentration, and he makes & accepts excuses.

This is like ground hog day. Steinbrenner needs to sell the team that way Cashman and Boone can go!!!!

Boone would have been long gone if Hal was still around and no doubt the Yanks would have been much more successful

Boone has been handed the keys to the kingdom for the past 4 years and he keeps misplacing. He was a average baseball player, that had a lucky home run to win the AL playoffs, but he is a sub par manager. He does not have the respect of his players despite what you read…he is a bust……dig up Billy Martin who would be a better coach right now despite not being alive.

any great pitchers and hitters appear to regress and appear frustrated when under the thumb of blake and Boone. these two are awful
