Thanks for this. I stopped doing Sudoku about a year ago and just picked it up again today, the 21st. What a day to try it again! I was sure I was just out of practice but now I've seen 2 people agree it was a hard one. I think I spent 7 hours on it, seriously.

Nice to have you back, I really needed the help today. ❤ Missed both the 357 and the 239 triples so I couldn't have solved this on my own. Ended up eating 98 minutes of my day or 120 minutes including watching your tutorial. 😅

After watching your vids for the past 5 days or so my Medium time has gone down significantly! Wanted to try my hand at the Hard today and found myself pretty stumped, but was pleased to find out our first passes were the same! I just couldn't spot some of that second pass craziness 😅 but learning a lot watching you solve

Welcome back! I’m so frustrated on this one. I found that 239 triple in the bottom right box somewhat early on but I failed to notice its effects on the 9s pointing up. I got stuck and came back to watch your solution and as soon as you said it right at the 19:25 mark I facepalmed and went back and solved it straightaway. While you were gone I’ve been going back and solving old puzzles from before I discovered your channel in April

I missed the 357 triple, the 26 pair and the key 239 triple, so... i didn't solve the puzzle today

Good to have you back! I was actually wondering if you were going to do a "silent" solve. This puzzle was a bugger, you absolutely need to spot that triple in box 9 to break it open.

My best time for a NYT hard is 5:51 and my 'usual' time is between 9-12 minutes, but this one took me over 40 minutes, my worst time this year by over 10 minutes

If their intent was to make today's puzzles frustrating, they certainly succeeded.

Fine your are back, this was a hard sudoku, I spend also a lot of time , box 9 the hidden tripple with the 9 pointing in column 9 was the solution

You NEED to do June 18 - I cannot find a solution, which is very rare for me in recent months. I'm sure I'm just missing something that is in my wheelhouse but I need a second pair of eyes and a fresh brain. A fresher, bigger brain and keener eyes.

I think this puzzle might have been featured on cracking the cryptic channel..., row 7,and 9's 18's intercepting to box 9's with column's 7 and 9's 45, thus creating 239, at the point of intersection.. brilliant design..and beautiful solve..

i missed the 357, any tips on spotting these more easily?

Difficult! Not exactly the puzzle you want to do the moment you sort of return from being sick.

Welcome back! Being sick is no fun. At 19:15 you call this a 239 triple, but one of the squares is just 23. How does that work?
