I’ve been following along every episode. I got the same prostar tank. It’s my first one too. I’m struggling with my skimmer. Tuning it. It’s so hard. (Btw my Roomate asked if it was a bong when it arrived lol).

Please clean cup with water that is about the same temp as tank water so it doesn’t craze. Crazing is not cool. Not sure if I spelled crazing right but this is about keeping him from destroying that expensive skimmer not so much about my spelling.

Can I maintain a mixed reef tank without a skimmer. Assuming a light fish load?

Received my today from Saltwater Aquarium, and I think these guys get a lot of their stuff from BRS from overstocking or BRS returns. The skimmer had several issues going on including having a worn or broken air tub silencer, a venturi that has not a perfect match for the pump, and of all items the collection cup had no drain hose attachment...I'm not kidding. What a cheap piece of $#%$

If noise was a concern should have went with a DC Skimmer! I have a Nyos and it drives me nuts can't keep the lid from making noise even with a weight on the top of it.

Adjust the Bobble! Bobble forever equals bubble level.

Mr. Jimmy, could you share which lid you have for your tank? It is neat.

I have a PROSTAR RIMLESS V2 200 GALLON AQUARIUM W/ WHITE STAND - PRO CLEAR AQUATIC SYSTEMS. The lids are made by PRO CLEAR specifically for this aquarium. I hope this helps.
