For people first moving to NYC if they are single, I think you should live in Manhattan just to experience it! I recommend the East Village if you don’t own a lot of stuff. There are somewhat affordable studios and you can walk to everything! Later you can move to Brooklyn. I like Williamsburg and Greenpoint because they have the best of both worlds, a little calmer than Manhattan but still super walkable. Some other areas of Brooklyn may not be as walkable, longer walk to the subway and grocery stores.

Hello from Australia. I love this channel, I needed help with finding out about places to go, food and drink, shopping etc. I have found this to be really helpful. My daughter and I are visiting NYC in September and we will be staying in Chelsea. I so hope that there aren't any bed bugs. Can you actually see them? What should we do if we encounter them? I am looking forward to finding vlogs with your mum. I'm interested in finding out things that your mum likes to do when in NYC. Thanks for all the content, it's fabulous.

🎉🎉🎉 obsessed. Like i wish i could nyc like that. Also somebody needs a bare minerals sponsorship.🎉🎉🎉 Totally bought a lipstick cause of the creative energy. I really dont get makeup. 😅 Also cause im a lot. Like someone give her the economy. Ive been trying to figure out what is the vechile to look at web3 and feel like anyone could just try it. Its really difficult. Like i dont people realize just makeup is kinda of a bind like theres such a huge gap to then think of what is a cityscape and its infrastructute components. I guess I’m lucky that I never experienced bed bugs in NYC! I would say the worst thing about NYC is how small the apartments are, and especially the kitchens because I love to cook and try new recipes. A lot of kitchens aren’t a separate room but just appliances along one wall in the living room! So you can’t hide any mess in the kitchen if people come over

yes! my parents call our kitchen a coffee point 😅 but at least it’s almost a separate room…kitchens and bathroom sizes are a real struggle here

Hello fellow graduate of civil engineering/architecture :) I worked in that field from 2006 to 2013 and then moved to wind farms, but gave that up 2 years ago and pivoted to tech as engineering manager in automotive. Currently doing resource management for cloud technology :)

I am not noticing any accent at all, and had you not mentioned it, I never would've guessed you're from Germany. 🤭 I wouldn't have guessed you're not from a non-english speaking country, actually. I subscribed to 'The New Yorker' mainly for the tote, but I'm not sure if they'll notify me if the tote is being shipped, or how long does that take... I'm international.

If you want to check out a lot of the places she shows, I recommend the Wythe in Williamsburg Brooklyn. It is also just one stop on the L from the East Village so you can check that out too! Great views of Manhattan across the East River and the rooms are a decent size!
