This is an interesting reroute but I'd say it's a bit much as well. I kept trying to figure out the reason as to why they would send the F to Euclid but it wasn't making sense. If it were me, I'd send the F to Delancey [via 6th Ave Lcl/ via 63rd st] and have it terminate there, send the E back to it's terminal at WTC [8th Ave Lcl/via 53rd st], have the C continue it's normal Local route via Fulton St Lcl and have the G run Via Crosstown/ Via Culver to Coney Island and call it a day. Place the shuttles buses between York and Jay st and the others between Delancey and East Broadway. C runs its original route, E runs its original route, F runs 6th Ave Local only Til Delancey and the G replaces the F. Even if you were to make a pointless swap where the E would go to Euclid and the C to WTC, it'll still be less confusing to the customers than what we have now. Honestly tho, I'm taking advantage of these route changes because you don't see these happen so often. F riders have a chance to swap at W 4th for the A/C and take it to Hoyt for service on Culver. Want Coney Island? Take the D/N/Q, all available at Herald Sq.

@@RBMapleLeaf That would result in no service to 63rd. In fact, what the MTA did was absolutely correct for both operations and customer convenience. You don’t want to switch the E and F at West 4th since it would interfere with other unchanged services over there. Cutting the F to Delancey Street isn’t good enough since that line has to go to Brooklyn, especially to Hoyt-Schermerhorn for that connection. Sending the E to Brooklyn instead would make that line a little bit too long. Therefore having the E go to Delancey via 6th and the F go to Brooklyn via 8th Avenue makes everything work out fine. Either way, doing a service change like this without affecting 8th Avenue Service won’t work well. Perhaps the closest we could get is having the E and F maintain the normal routes through Midtown, and do the swap south of West 4th Street (with the E terminating at Delancey with the tunnel closed), BUT the C would have to be moved to 6th Avenue to make it work (to avoid delays at the interlocking) That’s too complicated and confusing compared to what the MTA chose, so it’s better off rerouting the E via 6th to Delancey and the F to Brooklyn via 8th. Works every time and you hear no complaints. Do you not trust what the MTA does?
