In the art scene, realness and accountability are the deal-breakers. It's all about keeping the integrity of our craft tight. So, let's stand up for the standards, bigging up the artists who grind hard and put their heart and soul into what they create. Now, if there's some real talk about an issue, we gotta address it straight up. No beating around the bush. Shine a light on what needs fixing through the right channels. It's about keeping our creative game real, respecting the hustle of those who grind for their art. We're rolling together, making sure our scene stays true to the core, even when we gotta sort out some issues on the way.

Just a lovely story. Talented, humble and just so down to earth. I'm sure his grandma is so proud. His paintings are so life like. I love the contrast of the gritty subway, every day hard working people doing their daily routine and having it appreciated and purchased by the elite. Some of which may have never been in the subway.Continued success Devon. You have brightened up many a dull subway ride for so many.

I absolutely love Devon. He did go to a fine art school and has a classical education, though. So when he was drawing people on the subway at 15, that was an assignment. There's something reminiscent of the Candyman remake with his team and the reporting that they want to portray him as some poor kid from broken Brooklyn home that just started drawing people one day, and I don't think that's positive for people who look up to him.

So, let's stand up for the standards, bigging up the artists who grind hard and put their heart and soul into what they create. Now, if there's some real talk about an issue, like accusations of lying about speed and staged situations, we gotta address it straight up. No beating around the bush. Shine a light on what needs fixing through the right channels. It's about keeping our creative game real, respecting the hustle of those who grind for their art. We're rolling together, making sure our scene stays true to the core, even when we gotta sort out some issues on the way.

How sad you can't allow him to stand on his accomplishment without you reducing it to imitation.

@@billycarroll9153 If you know anything about Chuck Close's work, you know that I meant my comment as a compliment. Chuck Close is perhaps the greatest photorealist who ever painted. This kid in the video does work that rivals some of Close's greatest paintings

Sad that what he does is FAKE, his videos are staged with actors. Only none artists would believe that you can draw that precis on a train, being filmed and that no one would notice it. If you express your doubt on his social media profile your comment will be blocked or hidden very fast.

@@jdos5643 the question is not if he can draw and paint, he can. But he's LYING to his fans about the process. Hi pretends that he paints strangers on a bumpy metro ride, which he doesn't. He paints it at home and then he met up with the person again on the train with the completed drawing.

I've enjoyed watching his videos but I have to be honest that it looks too staged. How can he spend upwards of twenty minutes drawing the person who isn't aware of it? There had to be a few who might've objected to him drawing them. And the train is never crowded. If that was me I would've noticed someone sitting directly across from me drawing my image. But congrats to his budding career.
