They suggested that the migrants be re-settled in some of our other states because NY and FL and TX don't have the resources. So, they weren't saying or implying that they don't want them in their backyard. You just want that to be the case, due to the obvious bias you have against them. The ladies are saying that if Mayor Adams is saying NY can't take anymore migrants, then why not try re-settling them in one of our other many states. It's just common sense, really. They live on the polar opposite border of where these issues happen, they also live in a completely different universe. Immigration is important, nobody disagrees with that. Immigrants are the backbone of the workforce, the problem is, when you have 2-3 million people crossing the border every year (almost 1% of the US population enters the country every year illegally) everything suffers. You have to feed them, shelter them. How many of them are criminals? How many committed war crimes in these socialist countries? The wall doesn't stop people getting in, but it makes it harder. At the moment, the majority of the US border with Mexico is wide open, nobody is dissuaded from crossing because the worst case scenario is a couple days later they drive you back across the border and then you just walk back over again.

I’m from California and I live in NYC now as an adult! First most of these women do not live in NYC besides Alissa and I know Joy still has her apartment in upper Westside! They don’t understand the reality of what really goes on. It’s easy for millionaires to say bring everyone in, but they live in private gated communities so it does not affect them. Sunny loves the black community yet she won’t live around them because she feels it’s dangerous. It’s silly when millionaires speak on issues that won’t effect them at all. There kids go to private schools so they don’t care. We already have a teacher shortage and to bring thousands of children in already overwhelmed and crowded schools is insane to me. Take them all to Kamala’s and Biden’s home. Is Kamala still alive? And is Biden still around?

I have several family members that are disabled and elderly who are basically 136% below the poverty level and their social service benefits whether it be food stamps or housing or medicaid are being cut drastically because they are letting all these people into NY and the state is giving the funds to these migrants instead... What about the people born here and are residents of this state who need assistance? Youre putting migrants in hotels, yet there are homeless people in NYC still sleeping in streets and parks... Something is wrong! I say get rid of Adams and Hochul ...

Ok. Here is the point. I have lived my whole life in Texas. After going to college and graduate school I worked in non-profit for 90% of my career helping people who needed it the most. Now that I’m disabled and stuck on social security disability, I don’t qualify for housing or food stamps that would significantly help me. Yet, we’re somehow expected to take in all of these migrants who just illegally (most of the time) walk across the unsecured Texas border. What about the rest of the states in the North and the Midwest? Why can’t they take in some of these people to help? Why is it solely the responsibility of the border states?

The New York mayor is complaining about not having the resources to house, clothe, feed, and educate the children of these asylum seekers who haven’t even been approved for asylum yet. Well what does he think that these small border towns in Texas have been experiencing for years? There are practically no migrants from Africa relative to Latin America. It's just not easy travelling from Africa to the US, compared to just crossing from Mexico to the US. I think we all can say we don’t want these people in need of help to be treated inhumanly or as criminals but we also don’t have the resources available to help everyone. The United States can’t even figure out how to help it’s own people. This is a country wide issue. We may not like Trump’s character or his narcissistic personality disorder but he’s right about putting ourselves first. We can’t give away all our oxygen if we’re going to help people in need. The prefix “inter” means “among, between” and community means “group.” Therefore, Anna is right; this issue is between groups on a much larger scale. China is now expanding around the globe, particularly investing billions in Africa and is Brazil’s largest trading partner. Africa will soon usurp China and India to have the largest population by 2070. Nationalism never works in the long term. If your neighbors houses catch on fire, chances are, yours will too. So, it profits good neighbors to help each other put out fires. Ignoring the issues doesn’t make them go away.
