When product costs more to make and ship, you lose money as a business owner, usually need to layoff people or lose the business (but still have to pay taxes). If you chose to pass the increased costs onto the consumer, you usually lose consumers. It’s not a “win” for anyone...it’s a loss for everyone.

I'm not sure. The foreign oil deals are made so they will purchase US treasuries (debt) and defense weapons. This props up the US economy through government spending and allows us to service previous debt. Otherwise, there is massive unemployment and default. Not much can be done really. US spending is far beyond serviceable in the long run; we will never hit the needed GDP numbers.

Obiden won't uncap our oil production to bring prices down. We have more oil than the middle east so there's no excuse to be importing oil & paying these exorbitant prices for oil when we have our own! Besides, everyone has forgotten Biden campaigned he would eliminate fossil fuels. This is how he's doing it. If we aren't going to voluntarily switch to electric cars, he'll force it by making fuel so darn high, we can't afford it and will have to park our cars! But electric cars aren't the answer either because of the planned rolling black outs this summer. Can't charge your car without electricity. The fox is in the hen house.

2 years ago oil was -$38 & they were throwing it away.

It costs me $250 a week to get back and forth to work. The family budget can’t be cut anymore. No expendable income and savings is depleted. I’m so glad President Biden said the economy is doing so well.

I'm an oil trader and this is simply not true, its a pipeline issue and most companies don't want to commit to development because of volatile prices. Under the Obama presidency we started to become one of the largest producers of CL and NG .

Why wouldn't the US pay for oil with toilet paper?

I own a trucking company with bunch of trucks and drivers. A lot of companies that I know are already shutting down because of high price of fuel and maintenance. Diesel is $6.95 in Los Angeles. With the current market rates we have no choice to shutdown too in a month. Trucks are making 10% of what they used to make

Yeah the MSM hasn't shut up about the last time Americans protested (Jan 6th) and I don't think the fuel costs are an accident either with all the momentum the trucker movement caused. Thank about it. Why do you think mass shootings are making headlines? What happens when the guns are gone? I'm not saying we shouldn't stand up for ourselves, just doing so there is a cost and so trying to find peaceful ways is always tricky. Honestly sometimes I don't know how you can keep turning the other cheek and not end up in a giant circle. One thing is for certain: the working class do not deserve any of this because no one voted for this. No one voted for the shutdown, printing trillions or the high cost of oil/homes. Greed is draining too much stuff that sustains life. The real problem is greed does not know fear.
