Carl, Bob I have been a Giants fan since 65. I had the privilege of watching your career and in my view Carl Banks should be in the Hall of Fame. I am getting 2007 vibes, back then part of the fan base wanted the heads of Eli and Coach Cougflin. Carl you are right in the money, Daniel was fearless when he came into the league but he has been beaten down. I think back to the wasted years of Eli after the Super Bowl due to bad OL play. The OL has professionals competing for starting jobs. Pass protection is the primary goal. Daniel is recovering from an ACL, he should not be back unless he is 100%. Dew Lock can play and he is a mad bomber going back to Missouri. The fact that he was in the same draft class as Daniel means he is entering his prime. The Giants Offensive weaponry is young talented and dynamicaly fast. Who is faster Hyatt or Nabors? Think the opposing DCs are going to start feeling some kind of way facing the Giants Offense. Carl did you know that Theo Johnson's father was drafted by Giants, think how motivated this young man is going to be. He was raised around Giants Pride. Tyrone Tracy is the real deal, think David Johnson with balance, fiery grit. Our Defense has me excited. The front seven will be dominant Don't count out Trey Hawkins. Arron Robinson is he still on the team? I think the secondary is also going to stand out. Playing zone man under. There is talent up and down the roster. There are playoff runs in the proximity which may rub off on our Giants. Carl I am glad I am not the only one identifying the promise. Bob congratulations on a distinguished career as a play by play announcer.

One thing I beg to differ on is that DJ cannot return to his '22 play. That simply is not good enough. His contract was based on that was the low end, he needed to step up from there. He treaded water while defenses adjusted and took away the easy stuff from him. He showed toughness in '22, that's not enough. I like the kid, but this is the NFL, he has to get better to stay.

I'm not rooting against DJ. He stepped up big time in 2022. 2023 was fraught with peril, and I saw it coming with an O-Line deep only in uncertainty, with expected results. So, DJ gets a huge Mulligan - his last one, though. A seemingly more mature Drew Lock might actually be better suited to this receiver corp. Not knowing much about him at the time, Lock seemed a greater threat than Geno Smith versus Seattle. Certainly didn't seem like a step down, and I was relieved somewhat when Smith returned to the huddle. Lock's performance in the final drive against the Eagles was near epic because that game mattered to both teams, and he stepped up. He's an easy guy to root for because, having been deprived of a starting role he now appears to understand the real value of having the opportunity to succeed in the NFL. It's a character thing. Thus, I don't think he's going to blow his next chance. Rather, I think Drew Lock will make the most of it and I am hoping it's in Giants uniform. Among us QBs, I think Lock is probably better suited to stretch the field and make better use of this team's mid and deep range capabilities. While not rooting against DJ - the Mulligan is real - I am more than curious to see what Drew Lock has to offer this season.

It just needed some seasoned veterans because Tyron Taylor manipulated the pocket very well when he had starts Davido move good out of the pocket when he had his starts not giving up as many sacks when Daniel Jones is in the game. They have the worst oline and they were the only team in the NFL that didn’t take an olineman or a dlineman. Steelers oline ranked 15th and they took 3 lineman with there first 5 picks. Good teams take oline every single year. Should have taken Christian Haines or Beebe instead of the bad CB. When the oline gets injured next year and our oline stinks people will say they should have taken a lineman.
