NWR Storybook Adaptation: Henry the Hero

Ойын-сауық

I am aware that Sir Charles had retired a year earlier so don't bother trying to point that out.
---
While Henry was puffing over the viaduct he felt his wheels dipping. This had been happening for a while and he was worried but his crew didn't find anything wrong. But they would soon discover the problem one rainy day.

Fantastic adaptation. This should have been made in the TVs, I also like that it tooks place before "Better Late Than Never".

Poor Henry. No one believed him about the Viaduct until they discovered the Viaduct cracked. I’m glad Henry discovered what happened. What a great story.

Love these Story Book adaptations/ back stories to specific episodes, or in this case: Better Late than Never, the reason why the viaduct was under repairs.

Now this would have made sense to put in the Classic Series before Better Late Than Never. Nonetheless, your skills shine through in all of your work. Nice job again.

Fantastic story. I would have liked to have seen it in the classic version of Thomas and Friends.

Wow, brilliant work! I never realised how much this would connect to the story "Better Late than Never"! Yet I thought it was similar to "Slow Stephen"! But nice to have Henry in the role! I'm amazed how you did the viaduct getting cracks! 😃👏

I know you pointed it out in the description, but did SCTH actually retire that early. I mean you have your timeline, so I don't want to argue with it, was just wondering, as I saw it a couple times now. Anyway I like this One

Why these shaking movements during their travels?

Because when an engines goes at full speed they tend to shake. It just adds realism.

I feel sorry for Henry. I work on a miniature railway and can feel when something is not right like track dipping from subsidence or gap between the track joins from broken fish plates. And it would Not take four days to go investigate. There should be a chain of command on Sodor but there doesn't seem to be one .

Ok so Henry said that the brig was down meaning it had culapst but it did not and there was a 2nd brig further down river I'm comefused about that

When Henry said that the bridge is down, he ment it had dipped or a section was broken and lower than the rest of the bridge. In CGI, it is harder to show compared to models, where the bridge prop can be physically altered to show damage.

How come you consider this story Canon to your series and not all the other adaptations you've done

  • @NWR1991

    @NWR1991

Because since I had set this before ‘Better Late Than Never’ which is a Railway Series story, it’s canon to my series. It’s that simple.
