@@SeventyGTX SeventyGTX, I agree for Tryus doesn't need the prop. I find him to be quite intelligent and informed on the subjects that he debates. He speaks well and his thoughts are connected and his views relevant are quite deep so the belt is a distraction that he does not need. (I suspect that the NWA pays him each time that he displays it as an advertisement for their business). It is obvious that he is a giant of a man with physical skills which makes him the jewel in the NWA which is a "want to be" WWF that lacks class and the star power that Vince has been known for.

Having the title belt with him on Fox News is probably a stipulation of his contract with Corgan's NWA...as Corgan probably assumes that it gets more eyeballs curious about watching the current NWA product. Yes, the current NWA is horrible. Especially when compared to the NWA of the 1980s and prior. But then, this version of the NWA is just a single, under-funded promotion. Really, except for the name and title belts (plural) lineage, it's not the same organization that encompassed multiple promotions for decades (including the pre-WWF WWWF promotion). And I strongly doubt that in reality, Corgan's NWA is trying to compete with WWE.😁

@@willhorting5317 Will, it's enjoyable to have a conversation with someone that is civil and to be able to find some points that both can agree on knowing that it will never be all. I grew up in the rough and tough days of wrestling. Those men were far from the physical specimens of today yet, there was little hokeyness like that today. No breaking fluorescent tubes, no bringing in a ladder, no breaking tables. Were the bouts pre-arranged? Oh, yeah...no doubt about it. Then it became more "for the show" and more about the money the super bought could attract. There is no doubt that the pain and injuries are real and some become life-changing. Drugs, alcohol, and weeks on the road have wrecked many of their marriages and shortened their lives. The NWA just has a cheesy feel to it with unbelievable storylines and over-the-top commentators with many of the competitors that couldn't wrestle their way out of a wet paper bag.

@@hermanmunster4949 yes. I really can't comment more about the current NWA, beyond what I previously said. I rarely watch any episodes of it. But what I have watched, yes, it's not good. But then, IMO, none of the current wrestling... regardless of the promotion...is anywhere close to always being good.😁 I currently watch WWE's Raw, NXT, and Smackdown; and AEW's Dynamite and Rampage. I occasionally catch a few NJPW matches on YT. For several years I also watched ROH. And prior to 2014, I watched TNA/Impact. Began watching in late 1985, in my 20s. Crockett Promotions NWA; WCCW; AWA; some Memphis; ect; and WWF (although I mostly found WWF to be a little clownish for my taste most of the time. I much preferred the NWA stuff from Crockett. Anyway, hope you have enjoyed your weekend.😎

That's amusing, since Tyrus has already been signed with WWE twice....2006 to 2008; and 2010 to 2014. The 2006--08 stint, and 2010, were spent in developmental. During part of 2011, Tyrus was on Raw, as bodyguard for Alberto Del Rio. In 2012, he re-debuted on Raw, as the Funkasaurus, with Naomi and Cameron.
