Man seeing you smile everytime you fix a board, shows how much you enjoy your work. Makes me happy too. Your doing such great work teaching so many people all your experience for free. A great legacy to leave behind. God bless you. Keep at it brother.

I'm almost convinced we should blame Alex for all these end users messing up these boards in failed repair attempts. He's so skilled and makes these soldering jobs look so easy in his videos that no amount of verbal warnings will keep these guys from trying to work on these cards.🙃

This is awesome. I wonder if what happened is the customer started poking around, found a "shorted" resistor that was actually 0ohm by design. Made a mess there including solder drop on the pins -- but really the problem was either that capacitor and/or chip that had to be reflowed and repaired (possible impact damage or such). I could see myself (an amateur at best) find myself in a similar predicament of my own creation

I'm wondering if that card had been repaired before and the guy ttat sent. it for repair bought it second hand. That would explain why the owner tried to seperate the resistors, not knowing that some one had soldered it like that on purpose, it would also explain the other carnage on the board and why the owner only indicated the resistor area

I think he used the word separate when he should have said removed. When you remove something, you also separate it from whatever it was attached to. But that's not common use. For example, you can remove spark plugs from an engine, but you don't say I separated them.
