I’m struggling to discern how this is voiced differently than the Monterey?

I have the Monterey, no complaints, really captures Jimi but the treble roll-off means you have use it before dirt boxes only. I wish I could see a comparison video.

I've got the Monterey and I love it.. But I bought the Voodoo out of curiosity and it's different.. Here what I think.. The Voodoo slightly darkens the sound but that's OK as its got analogue circuitry. It also slightly distorts in a pleasing and Hendrix way.. You have to increase the volume slightly more that on the Monterey to maintain a unity volume but I whack it a up a bit more than unity anyway. The Monterey does not colour the sound (hardly) and is a much cleaner sounding univibe overall... Well hers the verdict. I like them both very much.. They are DIFFERENT that's for sure and I can't say which is best for that reason.. I was only going to keep one but I've decided to keep them BOTH...... I am a pedal type of guy lol... I ran them both before a Frédric Golden Eagle Klon OD pedal. Into an Orange dark Terror amp head. And 1 x 12 vintage 30 cab... Guitar was a strat with. Vintage seymour duncan pickups.. If you fancy the voodoo try Juno for the best price.. Call them and request a better price and they will usually offer you a 24 hour discount.. Usually!! That's for The UK..

Thank you for this. I find the Monterey Vibe does color the sound, losing some high end, which is fine, the original UniVibe does too, but I don't want less top end, which is what you appear to be suggesting the Voodoo Vibe does. I now know I don't need to get one!

I can't imagine an analog vibe fitting in that enclosure--or getting firmware updates. It does sound good though.

What is the difference between this pedal and their Monterrey vibe?

Awesome demo as always! How does this one compare to the Nux Monterey vibe? Your demo of that one prompted me to buy it a while back. Curious how the new one compares.

I bought the Monterey Vibe and like it very much. Is this the same signal with a new name?

I wanted to know why manufacturers don't put an expression pedal input.

The only problem (if we can call that a problem) is that Hendrix did not use the Uni-Vibe in 1967...

How is the fizziness on this sound? Every inexpensive Chinese Vibe pedal I have bought over the years has this sort of tailing bright fizz that just annoys the hell out of me. Need something that dampens the treble down, hope this is the case with this pedal. So far the Danelectro Cool Cat Vibe is the one I like, has a mix control but the setback is 1, volume increase and 2, short delay before the vibe kicks in.

What's difference with Monterey?

Where can I buy this?

I just got mine today. Is it me, or does the blue light sound more like the univibe than chorus??

The chorus is the classic "Univibe" sound, which has the dry signal mixed in. The vibe is just straight vibrato (pitch modulation)

Much better sounding vibe by Nux than the Monterey. Unfortunately, I can't find it anywhere (checked Amazon , eBay, and others). Did you get a "pre-release" pedal?

Sounds quite similar to my ears, the Monterey was based off of the Dunlop Uni-Vibe as well...

@@3rdtonefromthesun True, but I did a long A/B comparison with MIke's Monterey Vibe video, so the player was the same, and the Nux Vibe has a richer high end and a little extra "creaminess", to me at least. What do you think? kzread.info/dash/bejne/jIWF1KeBZqTfiLQ.html

Hey Mike I have the Monterey vibe pedal what's the difference? Was there a difference on band of gypsies Not a lot from what I'm hearing...is this another nux variation on a theme moment 🙄 I hear he was wearing different mocassins at differing times, does that count😂

Bonjour.its strange because on the pedal, the status is red for vibe and blue for chorus but when you play, I'm hearing the inverse situation..... otherwise, another great Nux job!

I just checked and chorus is uni-vibe and vibe is pitch vibrato.

@@arnaudnoar3345 That's the same weird nomenclature the original UniVibe used.. The Vibrato part is actually correct, (changing of pitch only) the Chorus is actually a combination of the vibrato and a phase circuit..

Is it digital or analog?

@@jvdasz Tons of reasons. One is that they act different if you run effects in front of them. One is that digital pedals will cause noise in other pedals. One is that people keep saying that nobody can hear a difference with digital, but then a new model comes out and they say it sounds better and nobody wants the old one. One is personal preference. One is that digital audio always has latency, and it tends to be high in cheap gear. One is that even the high end gear still isn't as good as real gear according to lots of people who own both, but there are always demos that make it seem like they are.

I think the Monterey sounds better??

Based off the videos I agree, I really dig the subtle phasey effect in the first clip in his Monterey video. Kinda want to try them side by side.

The best uni vibe it's hand made and 100% Era correct that would be the Fulltone deja vibes..the Mt Rushmore of guitar pedal makers are Mike Mathews Michael Fuller Jim Dunlop!!!
