NUX Monterey Vibe present by Vinai

Музыка

NUX Monterey Vibe, born to recreate the grand, yet complex, psychedelic rock guitar sound of the 1960's and 70's. It features all of the classic Uni-vibe style selections: Chorus, Rotary-Speaker, and Phaser pedal. We modernized the original 4 stage phaser circuit ( a pulsating bulb surrounded by 4 photo-resistors ) by replacing it with a powerful 32Bit floating DSP to process our custom algorithm. What was the outcome? A perfect mimic of the complex physical-phenomena of its original analog circuitry.
NUX Monterey Vibe generates a truly unique effect tone; a mix of chorus, tremolo, rotary, and phaser. This unique tone can be found in Pink Floyd’s ‘Breathe’, Robin Trower’s ‘Bridge of Sighs’, and the haunting audio mood created for ‘Machine Gun’ by Jimi Hendrix.
The earliest Uni-Vibe effect pedal came out in the 1960‘s. Cutting-edge guitarists were seeking a replacement for the heavy rotary speaker amplifier--configured from a standard amplifier for the electronic pipe organ. The original Leslie speakers did have a charm of their own, but it was more than compensated for by gaining the phaser effect, and the ease-of-use of a simple pedal configuration.
Just like the traditional Uni-Vibe pedal, you can switch between Chorus ( the Uni-vibe effect ) or Vibrato, by simply holding the foot-switch. In Chorus mode, the mix of Phaser and dry guitar signals produces a classic Rotary sound. In Vibrato mode, your pitch modulates between high and low. Both modes yield a rich, vintage vibe at any speed, intensity, or volume.

Very nice demo, nice playing! Pedal sounds good, but I'm curious about the build quality. Would you say it's very solid, built to last?

I have one, they are extremely well made, these are not in the very cheap end of some Chinese Pedals, they are high quality, metal enclosures. O'h and it sounds great!

got one today as an upgrade to the kokko vibe i tried. they were the same size casing but the nux felt overwhelmingly sturdier, and heavier! i just hope that switch can handle some abuse because i'd switch modes and tap tempo a lot

@@PerceivedWaves I've yet to try them out side by side. Will let you know! Although I've surely got the extra money's worth from the switchable modes and tap tempo that the Kokko doesn't have.

Hello.I am wondering is there any diffrence between univibe sound in Nux mod core and Nux Monterey vibe?Is it in Mod core 32-Bit floating DSP to process our custom algorithm,a perfect mimic of the complex physical-phenomena of its original analog circuitry? Like Nux monterey vibe?Or Nux monterey has a even more improved chip inside? If its not business secret😀i will be very happy to know that, coz i want to buy one of these pedals.

ran into the same question in my head, but ultimately decided on this standalone because it seems to thrive more early in the chain (before the dirt) -- unlike the other modulation effects

Great sounding pedal, and some terrific playing. I bought one and love it. However, the descriptions are not helpful at all. The red mode was described as phaser, uni-vibe, and rotary - which are 3 completely different modulation effects. Its definitely not a rotary effect. Still, a really nice pedal.

Excellent pedal! I received mine today! Happy with it. How can you go back from tap tempo mode to on/off mode? If you did tap tempo mode I can't go back to on/off mode. The manual doesn't give an answer to that issue. Thanks in advance.

Sjaak Strik on the one that I have, if I’m in tap tempo mode and click it once it turns off. I wait about 5 seconds or so and kick it on again and it’s in on/off mode. Or you can just turn the speed knob when you’re on tap tempo mode and it goes right to on/off mode.

Same problem with my unit, i resolved updating the pedal with the last firmware. Go to www.nuxefx.com/show-70-4-1.html select the support tab, download the firmware file and the manual, follow the steps listed in the pdf manual for a succesful update. You will need a mini-usb cable, a computer and a power source for the pedal. Next you can change between modes pressing and holding the footswitch.

Just to clarify: when first released this pedal didn't feature the two modes thing, but it was late added with a firmware. You have to "update" the pedal.

That strat stinks but good sound. Of course you should know hot to make that fckin pdal sound resalt in the total tone: if you are playing low volume on a trans amp, boost and eq and an exciter too are fundamental otherwise you'll not hear the same fx coming from the video and it will sound dull and shitty.
