Sir, when I upload the funkwah patch to my MG30, no sounds come out..nothing. Your other patches work ok. Do you think my unit is defective?

@4:00 the responsiveness of the unit to go from overdriven to clean is what I’ve been looking for in an amp modeler. Currently I’m using an older multi-Fx & it sounds excellent but the Mg30 looks like a great addition

I upgraded bro and the flexibility of the MG30 with the extra foot switch and scenes is excellent. I see Bax shop have them cheap at the moment if you are in Europe.

This is the best Effects Processor in this price range imo. NP-2 Footswitch is included, Looper has Undo/Redo. Total Win

Hi Sir Perf! New MG30 user here. For small venues, I use it with my Headrush FRFR 108. However, I heard that it would sound better if I put it through a DI, especially if I want a pristine signal when I crank it up really loud. Will a DI box help?

Your patches are great but i have confusion to get them on my user library. On Quick Tone the list of user patches and Factory patches are the same. If i make any change to User patch it reflects on factory patch list as well. I like to keep my factory list untouched and bring your patches on user library. How can i do, if i am not the only one with this issue you may want to make a utube video for every one Thanks

I didn’t use the footswitch for the live clip since I mostly stayed in that one preset but it should fairly easy to setup

NU-X offers no documentation on how to program foot switches to toggle between presets, and KZread seems to primarily surround guys who just have the mg30 on a table, or if they perform they pretty much just use 1 preset. TBD I guess. It’s just odd that no one talks about toggling between presets. Scenes, yes. Presets, no.

​@@Andy1x hey, i'm thinking about getting this one or the valeton gp200, and one of my main concerns is changing presets, because it looks quite tedious with this one. For example with my band in one song i need a clean intro, then distorted rythm, then clean again, then kinda lead with chorus and then distorted rythm again all during one song, would it be possible to do this just with the foot switch?

@ Ivan, I think you’ll be able to pull off what you said with the mg30. It took me some time to figure things out. The unit has a lot of capability, but owners are forced to depend on KZread videos (like the Pedal Guy) for instructions, and there’s also a good Facebook user group for it. The NU-X documentation is minimal. What I did recently is group my 3 or 4 preferred presets right next to each other, then using the foot switch just toggle as I need them to come up. There’s also another level of options (called Scenes) that gives even more capability by enable/disable sounds in real time, also using one of the foot switches. I haven’t tested it yet, but some have said there’s a slight delay in switching presets when they needed the change to be instantaneous. If changing during a song, that may or may not be an issue depending on the song itself. I personally don’t expect it to be an issue. I haven’t tried the other unit you mentioned, but I will tell you this. My friend in Sacramento introduced me to the NU-X mg30. He’s had one for close to a year. He’s the sole guitarist in a band that performs frequently. For effects, all he is using is the mg30. He likes it obviously. Not sure about other units, but it does take time to learn how to use and modify it for your needs.

How does this compare to the hotone ampero or line 6 pod go in terms of amp simulation (specially the fender and marshall amps),audio depth quality of reverbs and modulation ?? Plz tell

Haven’t played the line 6. The Ampero II stomp has a slight edge because of the Celestion IRs

The usual problem is the cabs/IR sounding bad after the update, which is why I mentioned the need for a factory reset right after loading V3 to reset everything.

ihave the old zoom g3 version 2 and i love it . i also have a b2 bass unit my wife uses , and a g1on i really dig the spring reverb on there ... also try this - z=mp-1 tube preamp into the allien ultra high gain amp . start with everything at about 50 percent and adjust . boy i love that sound . my patch has the filter delay set up very low to kind of emulate EVH phaser sound but its a bit different i love that sound .the fender amp sounds are very nice too. all in all i really like those units but i have a mg300 that sounds better . i miss somethings from the zoom stuff . the spring and that sound i mentioned with the ada preamp clone and the allien and especially the spring reverb on the zoom is just the best spring reverb i ever heard next to the real thing . the zoom stuff was the best on the market for a while now i think the mux is . i am buying an mg30 soon . thanks to the op for this great video !

It should be autovolt but check first to confirm. If not then use any 9v 500mA power supply

i've plugged mine to a combo selecting the option in the global menu, and it sounds really good, and i haven't disabled amp or IR

The presets don't sound like they do on your youtube video, very trebly and scratchy, not as smooth, any ideas what I'm doing wrong???

Like I mentioned in the vid, my presets are designed to cut in a live setting, gonna feel too upfront if you’re not used to it. Try running it into a full range powered speaker like a Headrush FRFR108/112. What guitar/setup are you running it thru?
