I just bought this. I’m a vegan and chop a LOT of veggies. The chopper worked, and I thought that was the purpose of the video-does it work or not. I can’t wait to get mine. Prep is something you have to do at any rate, so the little you have to do to get the veggie in are worth it for me. Thanks for the review, but this is so much easier than chopping up all the veggies I use when I want to make a meal and must chop onions, green and red peppers, mushrooms, into cubes or slices, etc. Thanks for the review. It helped me to see the advantages and small limitations of this chopper. I can’t wait to get mine in the mail. It will cut my prep time in half, and about those left over pieces, I would so have used them-especially the cucumber that would have easily been added to whatever cucumbers I’d already chopped. The other small pieces would have gone in the fridge and dumped in a veggie or bean stew. The tops and bottoms could have been discarded. So no waste! Thanks again!

One more thing I would say. I have a cuisinart 14 cup food processor, and one of those choppers with mumtipupose blades to perform what this chopper does (with the exception of a mandolin type slicer). I have a mandolin as well. What I like about this is I don’t have to drag my large food processor out for just one or two meals. My other chopper is great and has a large bowl, but with the force of chopping the veggies, it is tough to get the top off. With the slice on the nutrichopper, I do t need my mandolin. So I like that this is so portable. In my view with as much time as I spend chopping veggies do I think my knife is faster-even though I’ve raised a family and have always cooked so have great knife skills). My take. Portability is worth it.

I use this product every day at work ina Deli. It's Great! Common sense should tell you it's not designed for whole tomatoes and onions. That goes for most choppers. You cut onions and tomatoes and cheese in smaller sections first then you can dice them beautifully with this product. I chop onions, tomatoes, and cauliflower with this every day and just love it. It still saves a lot of time dicing by hand with a knife. In my opinion it is recommended.

Thank you for such an honest review. I was going to buy it but now I'm not because I see how hard it was and I don't need the extra work!

I have the same final decision, this is not for me. At first watching on TV AD they make it look so easy (note: never believe what you see on TV), but in this real video demo here, there is allot of hard work to cut/chop certain things, unless you hand cut the items down to very small pieces to start with. Like others say, by that time I could of hand chopped the item in the time it takes to prep and use this chopper. Thanks for the video.

As always, I appreciate your honest reviews, it's just that by the time you prep and trim them to fit inside, you could have cut them up manually. There are better ones out there like the Mueller, but it just so happens one of their top sellers is being recalled. (I enjoyed hearing you laugh...lol!)

Thank you for your honesty. I’m glad I watched this and I wasn’t the only had a hard time cutting the whole onion. Onion got stuck , and tossed the whole product in the trash. It’s a Piece of junk, I ended up going back to the traditional cutting. Knives 🔪 lol again thank you for demo 🙏🏼

Im not sure I understand , the product seems to work with a sensible idea of what youre trying to use and for a small amount of prep on the most common usage like herbs and veggies for things like salsa and cooking it would be great. It can also be used for helping to decorate and may make salads and dinners more fun for children. I guess we could try bone next too because meat cleavers technically chop that. I love the fun of a cheap kitchen gadget because frankly most of us hate the drudgery of cooking. if youre a chef I get it but most of us are lucky if we do anything ourselves vs order in. Pls consider this when reviewing a $20 item against a $100+ chef’s knife or a $500 food processor thank you.

Just so you know if you cut the tomato in half and pit the cut side facing down the tomatoes will work 😊

great tutorial..I actually prefer the speed of my cutting board and sharp knives, but I did get this to dice eggs for egg salad! I LOL at the tomatoes! thank you!!!

I own one, it works great, I’m single and always on the go, so I prep small stuff for everyday salad and snacks. I would understand it can take a lot of time prepping the food if u r doing a big dinner. But for an “on the go” it’s really good.

Very appropriate review. I got mine as a gift. A major problem not mentioned in the review is how to clean the head. The dishwasher cannot get it clean. I must resort to the tedious task of picking food particles out with a toothpick. It would be ill advised not to thoroughly clean it. Maybe I should try dental floss? It would be ill advised not to buy it in the first place. Try something else.

Wanted to buy it especially for dicing onions but it looks way too hard.. I have an electric chopper and thought this would be a but easier.

Great review. I am not buying this junk. You were lucky not cutting your hand trying to get that onion out. I cut the tip of my finger using a mandolin and was gringing when you were removing that onion.

Nu the time a person does all that. It's easier to just chop it with a knife.

Thanks. Will not buy. Red onion for salads is why I was looking at it! Too much work. Plus, my right wrist is rather weak so really don’t think it’s a good match for my kitchen.

As my hands are v arthritic I thought this would help so Im very disappointed in it😪. Thanks for honest review.
