Elliot seems like a genuine friend you'd have in school. His personality is very clearly unique and HIM!

I think that out of all episodes including him as the matchmaker he never had a single mistake in terms of choice. I even think that even every single choice of his aligned with his friend's/client's or whatever. Or he made just one mismathch in all of the episodes, interms of his choice not aligning with his friend's.
