Thank you for your channel and this playthrough of Nusfjord. You helped me to learn the game rules for solo games. It is a fun design with interesting opportunities for synergies between building & elder cards, resources and ship tiles.

A really nice playthrough! This is one of my favourite games and definitely my favourite Uwe game. I really like the variation in play depending on the available buildings: e.g. sometimes building loads of ships is a good strategy; other times (like here where you had the renting service) it can be better NOT to build them! And I almost never buy back shares until the 6th or 7th round when they’re cheaper. The solo 3-game campaign is really excellent as it forces you to build different buildings and look for different combos to score points. Just to say there is nothing in the rules for solo play about having to place the ‘C’ buildings in spaces on the A and B boards. It says there is no C board, so you just place them alongside. So by only giving yourself 5 C buildings to pick from rather than 7, you’re effectively playing on ‘hard mode’!

Oh really!! How funny I didn't read it in that way but you're right I don't think it actually says to put them on the boards. I'm doing better than I thought then haha!! I really must get the campaign played it sounds like it's a great challenge. Thank you so much for watching and for pointing it out about the c buildings!

@@bluedogboardgames The solo campaign mode is also pretty quick. Resetting the boards between games only takes a few moments, so I can usually complete the campaign in 60-75 mins.

Hi, Thank you for the nice play-through. The Renting Service building really boosted your score (and I'll need to look out for that building!). I did notice during rounds 4 and 6 you dealt the C cards into the available spaces on the supply board and, since there were fewer spaces than cards, you didn't use all the C cards. There is a rules clarification on BGG about this. It says the C cards in a solo game are to placed next to your supply board (without a board of their own). This way, you get to consider all 4 (round 4) and all 3 (round 6) C cards. Maybe that small change can help your solo play scores. Nusfjord is one of my favorite games (solo) for all the reasons you outline.

Wow yes that would make it thematic!! There's a Big Box hopefully releasing soon for Nusfjord so you may have better luck sourcing a copy once that is released! :)

This is one of my fave solo games, live how quick and simultaneously chunky it is. There is a uber-big box version coming out soon I believe with previous expansions and new ones!! Hope you get round to a playthrough of that one too😁

It definitely surprised me, couldn't quite believe you could pack so much into a 20 minute game! And yes looking forward to seeing the big box too! 🤩

My favourite solo game so far. I don’t even care about the score, It just relaxes me snd is always dome sort of s wholesome experience. However, when it comes to the score I never beat the 30 points with the recommended fish deck but I do with all the other fish decks (sadly don’t have the salmon deck)

i really like the theme of this game and look at that cover! its beautiful unfortunately for me, i cannot find this game anymore,,theres no available in our country and amazon :( great playthrough and video as always

In fact I thought it was coming this year but haven't heard about it for a little while so perhaps next year. Hopefully you'll be able to find a copy then, or at least a second hand copy of this version 😁

I've just had a look, some people in the know on Board Game Geek have said they're hoping to finish production by the end of this year then it should be available for pre-order early-ish next year if plans go well 😁

Absolutely! I'm creating a whole series of videos - I still have at least 2-3 more playthroughs to film and publish then will focus on a ranking list for all of the solo modes from those I've played :) I'm getting there! It's a long process
