Nurture Exposes: Real Families' Glimpse Into Jail Life

Ойын-сауық

Transgender inmate Franklin is the resident prison ladies' man and he's getting a whole heap of attention. Relationships in the jail are strictly forbidden but this doesn't stop Franklin from falling for fellow jailbird Leslie. Will their relationship be discovered by the guards? Punishment means time spent in The Hole. Top Dog Baby D continues to throw her weight around - her nemesis, Krystal, remains in segregation for her own safety, while tensions rise between Baby D and a group of new inmates. Things come to a head over a carton of milk and punches are thrown - proving in prison, the smallest of things can trigger a fight. Will pregnant heroin addict Vanessa lose her place on a treatment programme and be forced to give birth in jail?
Prison Girls: Life Inside is an intimate and in-depth look at what it's like to be a woman incarcerated in an American jail. The series goes behind the walls of California's Maple Street Correctional Centre and explores the reality of life when orange really is the new black.
These mothers, daughters, grandmothers and sisters are also gang bangers, murderers, drug smugglers and armed robbers. Whilst we might see glimpses of their softer sides, these often volatile and dangerous women are housed together twenty-four-seven - with explosive consequences.
Real Families brings you stories of modern day family life from around the world through the eyes of children, parents, and parenting experts.

Im here to say i was locked up in that same facility and "Baby D" was my celly. She was NOT so big and bad at that point, there were too many chicks bigger then her with wayyyyyy more serious charges and she was actually really nice..she was loud and very immiture actually. Jail doesnt do anything good for these women. I went in with a minor in heroin and came out with a masters in anything and everything else. I was an addict for 12 years. Im proud to say i have a beautiful baby girl thats 10 months old and a husband who loves me. Most importantly, I have God. These women need jesus and support within the jail for addiction and anger and thats that.

Sadly at such young ages, 1 was incarcerated n taking that path as the Mother n Father. The others want no part of that life. Bit If they lose children to state or family raises them then I think it should be mandatory the mother n Fathers should be fixed so we don't keep having same pattern cause these children always want their parents regardless n often turn to drugs n alcohol to self medicate, let alone often born addicted 😭❣️

@@carolineaustin1652vanessa lives with me and her bf in Pittsfield where she is extremely addicted to drugs and has zero accountability and blames everyone else for her drug use and has none of her kids. She is a compulsive liar and thief. Its unfortunate cause myself and her bf try to help her but she won't do it if she isn't ready. Myself and her bf Jay do not use and when she doesn't get her drugs she throws tantrums. Sorry its not the news you wanted but its reality.
