hi Sierra! would u consider ever doing a sit down where you discuss the hard stuff you have seen (without violating hipa of course and giving out too much info) and the emotional aspect of nursing. I feel like every nursing channel i have seen inadvertently glamorizes it but it would be so so valuable to see what the harder part is like to help decide others if it is worth it to go into the field. also love ur videos you are such a happy,sweet person and your patients and coworkers are uber lucky to have you! :)

YES YES YES x1000. First of all, I completely agree with your statement & there is sooooo much that isn't portrayed online regarding the nature of this career. I plan on filming a video once my orientation is completed (next week) with an update on how I'm honestly & genuinely feeling now that I've been working for several months. I just failed the Nclex exam.😭😭😓 I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and heartache I'm feeling. 😥 I'm confident that I will be a good nurse . I just need to get past this, move on and persevere

Hey! If you do want to wear your Apple Watch at work, you can turn it onto do not disturb! That way texts won’t pop up. Also, I wash my Apple Watch gently and it’s been fine. I sometimes rotate with a cheapy Watch from Amazon too though!

I loved my pen, highlighter marker badge reel...got ripped by my clinical instructor for wearing "crap" on my badge and dragging pathogens to all my patients. She said it was disgusting etc. I just said mmmk. It was insane! However, amazes me how many nurses in clinical as me for a pen. It was NUTS!

I had a clinical insrructor like that. Like we don't have to wear our ID badge room to room, same scrubs, shoes, stethoscope, shears, etc. I don't bring my pens and things into isolation rooms and our hospital has a disinfection station that I can use at the beginning and end of my shift. Some people just enjoy bursting other people's bubbles.

They’re strict in the hospitals too! It’s like any tiny thing you do that they don’t feel is right can literally endanger everyone’s life! You’re just walking around on eggshells it seems all the time!

Full time is considered three 12 hours shifts a week! So you get four days off! There’s also part time positions & on-call depending on your facility. Hope that helps!
