Nurse Even’s Life Story
Hello mga KUNARS!
With the right idea, attitude, and thoughts, a struggle really is nothing but another essential component of your success. It all starts with you. When you fall in love with a great idea, fate will push you to follow that path. Your vision can impact the world, but you have to really want it.
Sabi nga ni Steve Maraboli,
“Once you start recognizing the truth of your story, finish the story.”

Thank you Nurse Even. 😊 Dinala ako ng Lord sa video mo to keep me inspired. Keep doing your vlogs. Kasi napa-pangiti tlga ako sa mga hirit mo. RAWR! HAHAHA. God bless you more po! 💛
I have taken and failed Ielts 3x. Bitin sa writing. Last ko na ang OET nov 2019. Kung di papalarin, giveup nako sa UK. So ayun, reults day, bitin din sa writing. Sakto may petition na ibaba ang writing score mga dec. So nagparemark ako. January result ng remarking, nareach naman na. 💗 feb tapos na documents, for cos na sana, kaso naabutan ng lockdown. Pero go lang, sabak pa rin. Laban against sa travel ban. Hanggang sa nagkamemo march 8, aug 31 (latest sept 30 na rin ata) excemption. Ngayon, for visa appearance na then deployment before this yr ends. Good luck sa atin and God bless us all! 🥳

You can still be a teacher... there's versatility in our profession.
Passed the Oct 2008 board exam, back in the field in 2019 and iba talaga yung feeling maging nurse! Para siyang calling kasi biglang ngka covid and the world need us. God bless us nurses 💕
I graduated 2009 wala din makuha work as a nurse. Buti inaya ako ng friend ko here in California and I never give up despite ng hirap ng process dito. And now Rn na din ako. God is good and naging smooth din un flow ng process ko. Mahirap pero in a span of 1 year nagawa ko.

Grabe, I was literally teary Eyed while I'm listening to your life story, I can relate so much. Just like you I graduated 2012 and hindi ko dn sya agad napractice kase sobrang ilap, then nag bpo dn ako for 5 years but my heart is always pulling me back to my passion and profession lagi ko pa dn gusto mag nurse and never thought na mppractice ko pa sya after a long time kase natakot na dn ako magcmula but God's plan is really better, and I believed we should really trust the timing of our life, by 2016 until now I am practicing my profession as a Nurse and pangarap ko din tlga mag UK, now I a covid positive patient thoughts are running in my mind, I came across with your vlog in the dark moment of where I am right now and I feel blessed because I was really inspired by you. Hi nurse Even! Not a nurse but a medtech here. 2012 rin po ako graduate and well struggling din. Like you said, 2012 mo pa yang pangarap pero ngayon lang natupad. Marami rin akong nadaan, wasted money, wasted time, lots of rejection. But I guess its not a wasted time at all. Kung pursigido ka, may mararating ka. I’m now here working as a medtech in New York. Fulfilled kasi makakatulog ka na sa pamilya mo at may napatunayan sa sarili ko ❤️ God bless you Nurse Even! Continue to inspire!
So true! You need to dream big and wag maging tamad! Ang galing mo Nurse Even! Tama lahat ng sinabi mo... so inspiring! Your story is every nurses’ story who dreams big and never gives up on failures! I also waited for 7 years to where I am now. It’s true struggles are worth it! Hard work, patience and prayers lang maabot din ang pangarap!
Thanks so much for sharing this #NurseEven ! What an inspiring and motivating story of yours. We're the same batch actually and I can relate so much with your story. I myself, became a volunteer nurse for almost a year 2013-2014, without any compensation. Then I was blessed enough to work under DOH Nurse Deployment Program for about 3 years (2014-2016). And then I had a thougt to pursue my career abroad (any English speaking countries) so I took IELTS. Unfortunately, I also failed. I was so depressed that time and that I needed to find a work too. So I applied for Saudi and worked there for 2 years (2017-2019). But, my stay there was so full of stress and depression due to overworked ( I even experienced working on a 24 hour duty 😱 due to understaffing), poor hospital management, socio- cultural differences, home sickness, and many others. So, I fought for my rights and never agreed for any extension even the hospital admin kept on pursuing me to change my decision and even offered a raise in my salary. But I didn't give them any chance cause it's really not mentally, emotionally, psychologically and physically healthy for me anymore. I felt like, I'm going to lose my sanity that time if I ever extend my work even just for a day after the end of my contract. Finally, I finished my 2 year contract and was back to the Philippines. Thanks God! I was eyeing to continue my application to Au or NZ since I have relatives over there. So I tried reviewing for OET for months however I failed my 1st and 2nd take. I felt like my world is crumbling down and I'm losing hope too. In addition to that, COVID-19 pandemic came and that was surely a double blow to me. Also, the healthcare worker ban implemented by the government made me somehow resent them why they're trying to control the health workers who just wish and hope for better opportunities and greener pasture abroad for their own families. I was also so confused and low spirited for months especially at the 1st half of this year. I actually did continue self review and tried home baking as part of destressing myself. My third attempt to take OET was like a gamble though it was kept on being postponed due to the quarantine measures. It cost me so much time, effort and money (large amount). So, I really prayed to God to give me a brink of hope that I can hold onto and yes, He didn't fail me. Last July, I received an email from the testing center in Makati that my exam will be push thru (my testing center was ACE Baguio and I'm a native there too eventhough I'm staying in another place due to the lockdown). Long story short, I prepared all the necessary travel documents and was able to enter Baguio under essential travel (with strict measures as we all know). After 16 business working days, i received an email from OET Australia and praise God, i passed all the subtests. That was a life changing and a turning point in my life. And now, I'm still on the next process to achieving my dreams. And I'm holding on my faith in God that He will direct me to the right path. I know this is a lengthy story but I hope somehow, I can encourage someone here who shares the same dream and belief as mine. Thank you and God bless!
"Wag kang maging tamad" this hits me hard.. Very inspirational thank you

So inspiring... been on this field for quite sometime. 4 yrs staff nurse, 2 yrs community nurse and currently working as a nurse researcher for 3 yrs now. but still I have this hunger for learning and experience.. its really challenging at first but its all worth it once you surpassed and get through all the ordeals and predicaments, which is really an immense part of growth. Been battling of anxiety as well for ages.. But I dont see and find it as a hindrance and hurdle to achieve my goal and dreams in life... Prayer and Self trust and belief is my key to hit everything that I prayed and dreamed for.
Admired you even more after watching this video. 💖
This video inspires me to push forward. Fresh graduate here. “Just do it” this make sense. Hindi susuko para sa pangarap, pamilya at sarili. ❤️from now on I will try my best to not give importance to what other people say about me. Thank you Nurse Even.
Hello nurse Even, I would like to share also that I have studied and finished my nursing degree back in Philippines year 2010. I took the board board exam in the same year but unfortunately I didn't pass and decided not to take anymore cos I was thinking that nursing is not for me though and years have passed, I have been to different field of work and now I am currently living in England with my European husband and blessed with 2 adorable sons, and my husband have been telling me to pursue my nursing here, so what will happen is,I will study again as I was not a registered nurse back in our country. The good thing here is,they don't have age discrimination and your video enlightens me to study and work as a license nurse. I admire you and your videos, too. Thank you and keep safe esp.this time of covid.
I feel you sir iven, I've been there 😇
Grabeeee thank you nurse Even. super relate talaga, graduated 2012 stayed with the BPO industry for 6 years until I decided that I had enough and its time for me to practice my profession. 2018 nakaya kong bitiwan ang BPO tiis2 lang sa sweldo sa hospital. Hi Nurse Even, I can relate to your experience. :) I waited for 5 years to pass the NLE. In 5 years, I have learned a lot of things and grow my faith. I let go of some people and happenings that cause me a lot of trouble within. I believe if we work hard and commit to reach our dreams and we are claiming it every time, we are halfway there. :) My journey went from teaching in Thailand to managing my aunt’s small food house in the province and majority of my time was spent taking the NLE again and again and again. Like 8x from 2009-2014 😅 I am about to give up but then I realize no one can really help us, but ourselves. I moved to other city para walang kakilala and start from the bottom, nagreview- na family lang ang nakaka-alam, passed the NLE last 2015. I discreetly took the IELTS exam din kasi gusto ko din ang Australia but ibang studies ang inoffer sa akin and got declined with the student visa application. Yun pala iba yung plan ni God na country for me. Hehehe And now I am here in New Zealand. 😇 from caregiver to NZRN in just 2 years. Btw, I watched your videos & loved it! ♥️

Nurse Even... Could you please tell us how you started applying for NHS? Yung process na pinagdaanan and the cost?
That's the reason I prefer not to go back to the Phils just to work in a hospital setting unless kung dun na talaga ko mag stay. It's 2011 nun wala ako mapasukan at humihingi pa sila ng pera so we can work there. Now I'm currently working here in uae at a gov't hospital and earning 15x the salary that I can get in the Phils. Currently I'm awaiting for my priority date for US and hopefully we'll stay there til we get old and have our own pension. I didn't visualized/dreamt as a child that i'll be a nurse someday perhaps it's my destiny to be a nurse kasi first choice ko tlaga is flight attendant but at that time I realized na walang board exam si flight attendant kasi plan ko din magpulis or bumbero in case walang trabahosa hospital that's why I pursued nursing.
Sobrang nakakainspire ka Nurse Even! ❤💪
