Nuremberg walk | Germany's most impressive Christmas Market so far

Nuremberg walk | A Christmas Market tour
Without a doubt, the Nuremberg Christmas Market (Nürnberger Christkindlesmarkt) springs to mind whenever thinking about the best markets, not just in Germany, but in the whole world. This all happens for a very good reason. The Christmas Market is quite impressive, both in terms of size, as well as decorations and variety of products being available. From the traditional, delicious ginger bread (Lebkuchen), to the aromatic red or white mulled wine (Glühwein) and the filling Nuremberger sausages, there's no shortage of options if you want to grab a bite or have a heart-warming drink. The prices are fairly standard for a Christmas Market, so there's no reason to worry too much about this aspect. It's worth mentioning though that it's really important to carry cash as most of the stands will not accept card payment. It's also really important to plan the visit a bit in advance in order to get the most out of it. By this, we recommend avoiding the weekends as it will get quite busy, especially during the evenings. Just to get an idea, our video is filmed on a Sunday, at noon. While it's noticeable that it is quite crowded, it definitely gets a bit more later on. But if you're patient to wait a little bit more in line and to enjoy a cozier, evening atmosphere, don't worry, we totally understand and there's no reason you shouldn't go for it.
The Christmas Market is split into multiple areas, just two or three minutes away from each other. The main one is directly in the square next to the Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche). Facing the church, to the left hand side, there is a section with a bunch of stands with goodies from Nuremberg's sister cities. Definitely worth a look as they round up the Christmas atmosphere quite nicely. To the right hand side of the church, there's yet another section of the Christmas market, this time dedicated to children. Although the entire market is absolutely child friendly, some younger visitors might find this particular area more enjoyable. There are hands-on workshops they can attend, for example to learn how to decorate Christmas cakes. And there are plenty of rides to hop on. As everywhere else in the market, the tasty goodies are present here as well.
Gear used: GoPro Hero 11 and a pinch of clumsiness ^^
