Honestly I couldn't care less . Valaria is so clueless. Suleiman is so old already . When he dies she would immediately lose all power . She doesn't even have son . No matter who ascends the crown she will be doomed . Where Nurbanu has and actual chance of becoming a sultana and valide sultana. She really can't think ahead . Plus after she gave birth to a girl even Fatema didn't support her . Hurrum could get rid of her easily

Suleiman is old but ofcourse she didn't have choice when they wanted to send her to him as a slave. She also didn't wish to have a daughter. She was just hoping that one day maybe she could see him again & give him a son so that she could get a secured position in the palace. But tbh it would'nt even matter even if she gives him a son. Because the other sons of Suleiman are already so much older. Mahidevran has the crown prince & hurrem has 2 (As cihangir can't succeed the throne)

While Valeriya was falling, nobody helped her. After she has fallen, they were like : Call the guards immediately! 😅😂😂😂

I like Nurbanu a lot, she is intelligent, persistent and elegant, kind of a Hurrem 2.0. But without the overreacting, childishness and shouting all the time. I understand Hurrems journey but ever since she hurt innocent Maria I didn't like her as much anymore. Like how could Maria say no to the sultan, might even have cost her life.

Hurrem was the first sultan’s consort had this title, because she was the first legal wife of an Ottoman sultan in history (like empress/ queen consort is a part of royal family) Sometimes on this show, Mahidevran was called “sultana” but it was forbidden in reality. Even she was mother of a crown prince, she only had “hatun” title on her tombstone🙂

As far as their deaths or their disappearing from the series never to be mentioned again, their endings were quick and without much explanation. For example, we don't even know what was really supposed to have happened to Isabella! It was muddled mess.

This is why they say “the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth”!

Nurbanu made a vengeance fit for Hurrems happines. Good move Nurbanu, you just killed Nazenin.

One thing I don’t understand is why all of these people call “Constantinople” Istanbul. After the conquest of Constantinople by the Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror it was renamed to “Konstantiniyye”, the name “Istanbul” was given to it when “Republic of Turkey” was created. Konstantiniyye was the name given to it and used by the ottomans until the 20th century so I’m not sure why the directors or writers chose the name “Istanbul”

And knew her place. She had a girl, not a boy and had a instable position. Nurbanu, on the other hand was a potential future valide sultan, as she gave birth to a prince for the prince in Manisa. Valeria was stuck in a place where she could not climb anymore, unless she had a boy, and even then (there are 4 valid grown princes plus Ciangir, she would have had a baby) it would have asked for a whoooole lot of luck. Nurbanu had the whole ladder in front of her, with Selim climbing first. Acting cute was the only way for her to have the opportunity of having a boy. It was the wised strategy there

This character made no sense. The real child was born when Suleiman was a shezade in Manisa, and died shortly after he took the throne (along with his oldest and youngest son at the time.) Not sure why they wrote her in for this asinine story of Suleiman fathering a child by someone in his old age. It was ridiculous and never happened.

Sadly, his oldest son, youngest son, and a daughter all died about the time he acceded to the throne. (Mustafa was his middle son, and only survivor) Then, as we know, Hurrem had six of his children, there were no other children by any other woman. It was all in the book by Leslie Peirce "Empress of the East..." She had access to the household records in Manisa; and all sorts of other historical documents and letters.

Compared to the death of other sultanas, her painful death seemed more peaceful where she died in the arms of her loved ones. Before death, she cleansed all her vengeance against her enemies by begging for forgiveness. At least she didn’t die in a situation where she was still vindictive and crazy about power. At the end of her life, she still has the opportunity to be given a conversion to change be good person ​by the Almighty

That is on the writers....since all these random women they threw at Suleiman were fictional. Read the real history....Haseki Hurrem Sultan was a very interesting, intelligent, kind hearted and generous woman. After his mother died, Hurrem was his most trusted advisors and helped with diplomacy with her homeland (which was part of Poland at the time.) Sulieman loved her and changed traditions for her at least three times (he had more than one son with her, he freed her, he married her, and allowed her to rule his harem like a Valide Sultan.) He was true to her, and only her, once they established their relationship. He had no children with any other woman during or after the years he had six children with Hurrem. They chose to not have anymore, it is speculated that Cihangir was an accident, and they obviously could have had many more if they wanted them. Hurrem was fertile enough. They feared fratricide, Suleiman would have never wanted more sons, he had more than enough.

No one calls Hurrem innocent. We just say that absolutely no one was innocent in this series but somehow everyone only talks about what wrong Hurrem has did and forget whatever everyone else is doing....... No one is an angel in the palace but somehow people only see what Hurrem has did wrong but are blind when someone else does something wrong.

It would be a better plot to keep Raziye(Valeria's daughter) alive. I would have love to see Raziye to grow into a beautiful sultana and work along with her brother Selim(the next sultan) and sister Mihrimah. She was a potential character though bt directors ruined it

Raziya supposed to be mahidveran daughter and she was born in the same timeline with Salim bayazid they got the timeline wrong and it said she married Yahya also
