Nunez missed chances have cost us for sure but on the flip side hes also part of the reason liverpool was even in the title race. He's a young raw player. He has all the attributes of a good striker. He has things you cannot teach. He has pace speed physically He gets into space. He never quits. He presses abd counter press. Luis Diaz will most certainly lose his place to Gakpo, even yesterday it was from the wing Gakpo got his assist for Salah, his header is more a position a winger would find himself too at the far post. Klopp lost his head trying to make him a false 9 like Bobby or trying to play him in midfield. He was always a winger at club level. Nunez will be 25 this summer, at this point unless Slot work some miracle he doesn't have the ability to be a starter for us. His technical ability is too mediocre to be a winger, doesn't dribble much either. Under Slot system i don't think he fits at all.

I have said it many times and i will say it again. You can criticise a player's performance but abusing is never okay. How does he know the criticism online comes from Liverpool fans it could be anyone. He should measure it by the reception he gets on the pitch at Anfield as those are true fans. I'd guess that he has online contractual obligations in his contract with LFC. If yes that causes another problem perhaps that's why he has his profile pic in an LFC shirt. Perhaps he wants a contractual problem with LFC? I'm guessing here, but whatever its disrespectful to the club.

31 GA sounds great but in reality he's got 11 goals in the PL and missing 1/3 chances, which when you're going for a title is a problem

It falls on himself. Not warranting abuse or anything because nobody deserves it. But the amount of support he's had against rivals and in the stadium when sometimes you think what has he done to deserve it? Alot of players have cost us this season but Nunez stands out because the games we've lost/drawn... he's missed simple chances. I love the guy because he's got all the abilities to be a top striker but the main attribute is scoring goals and that he's struggling with.

I don't think he wanted to join lfc in the first place but because it was a big club and Liverpool were playing very good football at the time, he decided to join. I think Nunez is an Aston Villa type of player, he simply can't do it at the biggest clubs in world football, no disrespect to Villa, I think they are doing a brilliant job right now but I think Nunez maybe should go to Villa or an RB Leipzig.

It's more likely to be a club issue rather than some knobheads sending him abuse.

He deserves critisism, not hate or anything psyco but critisism. He has not been good enough! And for the people who say he has saved us a couple of times, you Are right he has and that is fn excpected when he is a striker for Liverpool and gets in a shooting position as often as he does, but he should have saved us probably a dusin more times this season he has been abysmal infront of goal and should be at around 20 goals this season in the prem alone based on how many chances he has had, and hes at 11 goals!

Don't remember a football player who's had as much love when he's missed chances in PL history and Darwin Nunez. He has never settled tbh. Main reason being language barrier. You cannot be stubborn to not learn the language of the place where you going and working as you will never understand the culture and all fun stuff. He was just a robot and I dont think he got along or made any friends. Nevertheless all those are his personal problems. Its end of 2 years now. There is improvement with the dink finishing and out of the box worldie compared to last season but majorly his poor finishing on simple chances has not improved. There is no linkup chemistry with any of his forwards. He might thrive well in a Spanish club as once his language barrier is lifted off he can atleast settle and focus on his game. He will fail next season as well under Arne Slot as its another coach who might use english language for coaching. You cannot always have Allison behind you for translation.

As far as i recall this is rhe first time darwin does something like this, and he is a temperamental guy, also these are very difficult times for the lads, with klopp leaving and all the titles lost in the blink of an eye, they must be under a lot of pressure, i just hope he can calm down and have people around him to support him and help him find his focus. I totally get what youre saying, but at the same time as much as he gets praised by some fans he also does cop more abuse than anyone ive ever seen. There were players playing worse than him during the season yet he would get the blame. I hope hes okay but maybe its time to move on for his own benefit and liverpools

I love the guy,and a little bit more composure in front of goal and he WILL thrive....but c'mon Darwin just don't go online if you don't like the criticism

Everytime he plays, the Liverpool fans scream "Nunez, Nunez Nunez!" Even when he misses chance after chance. This guy has gotten so much support from the fans. They literally make excuses for him everytime, so for him to throw toys out the pram becuase of a set of the fanbase says a lot about him.

Definently don't hate him I love what he brings outside of goals but equally it's ok to criticise his lack of finishing.I hope we don't lose him in the summer cos there is a player in there

It's amazing to see people can just act like they are surprise that Nunez is victim of abuse. Perhaps nowadays people can't differentiate the difference between constructive criticism and abuse. Try imagine you are the receiving end of the so called "constructive criticism" and ask from the bottom of your heart how would you feel. Even in your workplace, did you ever received such "constructive criticism".

Public figures are open targets for criticism. Darwin can be as emotional as he wants but he's still under contract and needs to place the club first.

You have to love some of the LFC fans, "dont abus.e players..." goes ahead to abus.e players. Its sad to note that Darwin of all the teams he has played for, he felt so saddened that he had to take all LFC related pictures down. We LFC family portray this picture of being a united family and yet that is how we treat each other. Then we blame him still for feeling let down. Everyone in our team has been terrible towards the final part of the season.. Everyone.. Including Alisson.

If Darwin deleted his Instagram and starting focusing on his mind and starting trying to improve his iq such as doing thing like brain training, sudoko , word searches , cross words ect.. even reading, he would probably improve his finishing and decision making . And im not trying to take the p**s out of him by saying that. When i used to play, regular brain training improved my intelligence which lead to me being able to read the game better, pick out better passing (vision) . It also improved my vision and awareness when lining up shots towards goal. It just lead to me being an all round intelligent player . When social media came around i went shit again 😂

players just shouldnt use social media, get it in their contract.
