i always think that five kinda didnt grow out of his angst teen stage bc he was literally stuck alone for 45 years which kinda meant he didn’t really have a chance to grow mentally. And then by being the commissions assassin i doubt he interacted much with others other than the handler and killing targerts Thus id like to think he is basically almost the same boy that left and now is back.... just a little more murder-y and looser morals

Yea I sorta see that but I also feel like the apocalypse really changed him as a person, like burying your family with your bare hands age 13 while coming to the reality that you're trapped in a sweltering hellscape with no food surrounded by rotting bodies and poisonis air etc will do that to u ya know, I sorta see him as a veteran of his own war in a way

The funniest thing is how Aidan makes Five literally look old and young all at once. I look at him and sometimes see a child, and sometimes I literally see an old man in a child’s body.
