I know right? I always come back to Shaolin and Shinobi because they just have such cool moves.

Props to Sunkai admitting his main needs a nerf. Id say Shoalin should be gb vulnerable after missing a sweep. Pretty rediculous how we have some bash lights that are gb guaranteed on whiff and Shoalin gets to be invulnerable to gb on a sweep heavy. Simple, bash heavies should always be gb vulnerable and bash lights punishable by only dodge attacks

I mean every character has something that doesn’t really make sense, whether it be good or bad. It’ll take ubi some time to fluff out all of the smaller details with certain heroes or certain interactions.

@@tomerabitbuleizen4992 you see that is the difference between a bash heavy and a bash light attack. There needs to be a risk and reward system in place. Bash heavies do double the damage of bash lights so the guaranteed punish for missing a bash heavy must be higher (a free guardbreak). Bash light attacks should have a lower punish if dodged because they guarantee less damage (a dodge attack). If both these moves have the same guaranteed max punish than that just makes bash heavies vastly superior to bash lights. (More damage and just as risky) do you see now how this doesnt work?

@@slagginobsidians1030 all I can see is that you have no idea what you are talking about Bashes that get you a heavy are slow and easily reactible same as shaolin If for some reason you can parry is follow up heavy just dodge attack him its literally free damage That sweep is the only 50 50 pressure he has as he doesn't have an unblock Do you see now how this does work ?

@@tomerabitbuleizen4992 the bash can be reacted to because it is feintable. It's literally exactly like Hitokiri, you see the bash coming and have to guess whether a feint is coming or not. With Gryphons bash heavy for example, it is unreactable just like a bash light like Kyoshins scabbard strike is. you you need to guess whether or not he is going to kick or punish you for a dodge. The same concept applies for both bash types. If it unreactable its not feintable. If its reactable it is feintable. So the speed of the bashes is irrelevant because you still need to make a read of whether or not to dodge. The only difference maker is the damage and how these moves are punishable.

11:34 The moment that both players calculated in an instant their entire fights in their minds and then went to work. Shit was like watching Itachi vs Sasuke or Jiren vs UI Goku lmao.

The true beauty of this game you would never find in a dominion lobby

This fight was sick, so much movement and flashy attacks. Felt like an anime

High level movement is so underrated, I’m noticing that offense is important but defense is game changing, I also notice that light attacks should be used way more often like how a boxer mainly relies on his jab and then implements his more heavier and fancier attacks, also high level movement looks amazing and is what makes this game so fun to watch and fun to play, it’s very unique from most games that I’m familiar with

Sunkai is such a good player and just brings so much good energy every fight he’s in, definitely one of my fav number ones!!

@@donsimons9810 lol that’s your opinion ig, but he’s one of the most chill number 1’s. even in this video he’s talking about broken shaolin moves he wont use just because it’s broken, he knows it’s just a game and plays for fun. while some other 1’s (wont name any lmao) can be pretty boring and/or toxic. yelling and cussing isn’t everyone’s cup of tea ik, but you can’t deny he’s the most fun.

this fight was baller as fk. but i even though theyre rare in these vids I really like seeing the players teach for a few seconds. cause i flatout didnt know about that shao tech. plus these 2 and wm zero are my fav in the series and seeing even the number 1s still learning even if its small is really cool to see.

Bro what has happened to this game. I left for honor after playing since beta when they hard nerfed shinobi (my main since he came out) and when they buffed orochi’s lights. Now shinobi’s S tier and there are 2 whole new faction! Gonna be so much fun to explore the game again!

Everytime I watch these, I think about how much of a gap there is between Anvux and the rest of these players. He's just levels above

I played Shaolin before rework and in my opinion the only things he needed was the top enhanced light, flow out of dodge attack, and follow up after the sweep. He didn't really need the sweep after any attack. Maybe if he could keep attacking after a successful attack but not the sweep sense he already had an unblockable out of qi stance

Normally you'd be right but not here. Shaolin is also a top bracket duelist up there with shinobi. The match up is pretty even here with very little character gap unlike other match ups.

Having the players mics on is a mistake, IMO. It seriously detracts from the quality of watching the fight. I really WOULD like to see a highlight reel and the end of each fight with quick player interviews tho.

Dude most of the people you say are #1 are horrible at the game. the shaolin only did like 2 deflects and neither of them did like any light parries. They are both horrible at making reads and just spam dodges and bashes.
