Thanks for another great video Roger! Snowplowing on bare floors is easily remedied if the manufacturer provides a floor brush with a single central bristle strip combined with a pair of wheels or a roller at the back below the neck. It astounds me that vac-makers have not learned this simple design concept for making a better floor brush. Hoover and Panasonic did this way back in the 1980’s and it has been proven to work on hard floors really well. A single strip down the middle of the suction channel allows you to pick up both on the front stroke as well as the back stroke.

mine just came in today and i’m so impressed. i have air filters that change color as dust is kicked up. when i started vacuuming with henry allergy, no change in the air quality. amazing! also super cute blue! thanks for your video, i bought it after watching your review.

Numatic vacuums never fail to deliver great performance. I really like that new Wessel-Werk RD 285 floor nozzle.

I bought this Henry last March. They outfit Henry here in North America with a construction grade electrical cord for our 120v power. Very impressive machine and very quiet.

You can save some money and buy a Henry Clean Air. It has the same HEPA filter but comes with more tools and is around £40 cheaper.

Thank you for posting this. It's really clarified everything I wanted to know and so helpful... conclusion I want one. I have really bad allergies and I can suffer the downsides to know that it is the best for retaining allergens. And so cute!!

It has a postmotor hepa filter. The big red filter is post not pre as you can se as the motor blow air out of the side then throught hepa filter and then out the back of the machine.

I watch all your videos to get my fix of cleaning during nesting… which for me is hoovering I love the smell. My favourite part is when you suck all the crap up… the noise it makes. I’ve scrapped my VAX onepwr pet and shark both haven’t got crap on the Hetty xtra I just bought to replace both 😂

Another quiet and powerful numatic that gets the job done. Shame they haven't sorted out the stairs problem yet. I'm proud that it's a British cleaner though.

The stair problem has been sorted with the Henry Reach, but there are many cheap stair hoses available including stretch ones and ridged versions. I have a 5 metre hose that fits all my Henrys.

I love when you put an extreme amount of dirt down. Gives the best demonstration of what regular usage will be like. That being typed, I AM IMPRESSED. I want a vacuum from the Henry family SO BAD. I was thinking the Extra of Cordless Henry but now I’m intrigued by this one. Would you do a versus test between this vacuum, the Extra, the Cordless, Hetty, and maybe the Hound?

you can't really " designed to last " the filter when it depend on the usage and conditions. but a great vacuum cleaner, I have 2 Numatic pph 320-11 vacuum cleaners, so that I can have one down stairs, and one up stairs, I cannot fault them.

I wish these cleaners were more readily available and decently priced in the U.S. Last I looked it was almost $600.00 for one of these! I want one so badly.

In truth many machines have a 14" wide cleaning path and they are about as deep from front to back as a Dyson Ball. The difference is that they will last a lifetime.

I find it oddly satisfying to watch a straight suction cleaner to clean like it has a brush roll

Did anyone who lives in the North West region see on Granada Reports a news story about some school kid from Maghull who has a house full of Henry Hoover's and other vacs like Dyson?. Apparently he's obsessed with Dyson hoovers and wants to be an engineer. There was a shelf full of old Numatic Henry's, including a white one (a very early model I believe), an Henry with red lettering, an orange one (I think that was named Bertie which B&Q sold). I wonder where he got all those from?. I noticed that Tesco are selling an "Henry Family". Looked on Amazon but they don't seem to sell them. Looked up all the Henry vacs on wikipedia, which lists the now discontinued models, but it doesn't mention an Henry Family. To me it looks like a regular Henry with a few minor accessories included and they are selling them for 140 quid, yet the standard Henry is currently selling for £99. Won't be much difference in performance.

I was given a Dyson DC07 upright cleaner but I find it awkward to use in my small flat. I have used my parents' Henry cleaner before and was impressed with it so I think this is the one for me when it's time to splash the cash on a new one.

Can this be used to clean a chimney? Thank You!

on 11:48 it looks like the post motor doesnt filter a lot, you can see the light contrast of the floor looking through the fabric. This should be H13 ?Are there any tests out there to proof if its better in dust retention than the other henry canisters? also it looks like it has only the Tritex filter, not the Microtex which seems to be slightly better.

It is an H13 filter. It has been independently tested and approved by the British Allergy Foundation.

You can get Numatic cleaners in the USA but they are very expensive compared to the cost in the UK.

Do they sell the new post motor separately if it needs to be replaced? I couldn't find it on the website

I don't think so. The idea is that you repair it, rather than replace the entire unit. My Henry has been going strong for 30 years, so I think you'll be OK!

would love to buy one but cant seem to find the replacement hepa filters anywhere for these. Any ideas where to get them? they are not on the henry website

Yes, it is the exhaust filter as I later discovered that the motor vents from the sides and through the pleated HEPA filter.

Yes it's very good, but not much different to a regular Henry. It's only worth paying more if you have allergies.

I find broken vacuum cleaners to keep them for fun and I have 8 vacuums boi and a woman my mom knows gave me a shark duo clean and a henry

Does that have an odour free filter?

Just about to buy this model but I'm worried it looks a bit flimsy and as you mentioned toy like. I've heard the later models are nowhere near as powerful as the originals. I've an early red model in my garage. It just stopped working. It was brilliant and so powerful. I understand there is a simple fix for it on KZread but not got a handyman in the family so considering a replacement but don't want an under powered model.can you advise please. Are all new Henry's less powerful than previous models?

All the current Henry models have less suction than the older models. but still more suction than a lot of cleaners you can buy today.

The reduction in power is due to new regulations limiting the size of vacuum cleaner motors in Europe. I think the limit is now 900W and due to decrease further soon. However vacuum design, technology and efficiency of motors has come on quite a bit so you probably won't notice a significant difference between a new and old Henry.

The German version of James is that colour blue.

HEPA filters are (unless explicitly stated as such) never washable, despite what people may tell you. Washing it only serves to break the fibres or increase the gaps between the fibres. This means that while more air passes through after washing... so also more particles. And given that's the express reason you'll have bought it in the _first_ place, it would appear to rather defeat the object - a bit like shooting yourself in the foot. 😖 It's also worth noting that mould spores, while large enough to be caught in HEPA filters, stay alive on the filter surface, so getting it wet generally appears to be rather a bad idea... HTH.

No, as I mentioned in the video the Henry Allergy has been redesigned internally to fit the new filter. You can’t fit the pleated hepa filter to regular Henrys.

I don’t think it’s flimsy, but you may notice a slight drop in quality over older models but still better than most Chinese made stuff. I suggest you look at the Henry Clean Air that comes with the same allergy filter but additional cleaning tools for £40 less. I wonder when numatic manufacture a Henry that has an “A” rating for dust pick up from a carpet?

I love the idea of all the Henry family tucked up in a giant bed with their nozzles all trained into a massive mug of cocoa, the fire crackling in the corner while you read them a bedtime story. Perhaps _Mr Messy_ and _Mr Neat_ from the _Mr Men_ books would make for good material? You'll now need to make them all little pyjamas and nightdresses obvs.. 😂

What's the suction like compared to the standard Henry?

The post motor filter is not washable

I iv had my for a month and the tubes are stuck together. Iv try hard pulling them apart but cant do it. Do u hve any tip on how to separate them so I can use the other itams

You need someone else to hold the other tube and both twist in the opposite direction to separate them. Failing that you could run hot water on the tubes where they join and pull them apart.

Roger, years ago, during a dyson dc25 demo, you did bring out and use a shark/morphy Richards because the dyson was doing such a crappy job!!!

It's not available to buy yet and I doubt it will be sold in the USA.

It's a shame that EU chooses to NERF vacuum cleaners for no reason whatsoever. I would be sold if it was a 1200 Watt, 2 speed version but no way I am spending money on any 600 Watt vacuum cleaner.

The latest EU compliant Henry’s clean better than the older versions in my experience. Don’t think that if and when we finally leave the EU we will get higher wattage machines back because that regulation is likely to stay in place unless the UK government revoke it.

The 620 watt motor has just as much airflow if not more than the older version. The new design floor tool picks up a lot deeper. I use a James at work and can fill the bag until it's a 2kg brick almost.
