God, I've only been waiting my whole life for this thing. I'm so glad I'll be able to get my hands on one. One thing I've been wondering is where is the internal sample deck? I was so sure that Algoriddem was going to add one. Oh well, I'm excited none the less! Thanks for the sweet review!

Very nice review DJ Hombre. You've convinced me to get one. And just like you, I've been enjoying playing with it. Without sounding like a total Numark-fan boy, the iDJ Pro's integration with the iPad and Djay is commendable. Be careful if you are an iPad 1 owner, the fit is super snug tight but it does work. But you do need an iPad 2 to take full advantage of the new Djay features like key-locking and double effects and the upcoming sampler add-on.

The filter is also in the app, you just have to go to your manual fx and use the HP, LP, fader without turning the effect on :-)

@DJSp1inter There is a sampler included. Not sure why it wasn't mentioned in this video considering its one of its BEST features. Go to NumarkVideo KZread for Full Scoop On iDJ video. Sampler is at the 7:10 mark.

I got one of these about a week ago. For some reason, and I know the fix is simple, my recordings are coming out wayy too low. Would that recording level be a problem with the app on my iPad or some change needing to be adjusted on the iDJ Pro? Please help because I can't seem to find it. Thanks.

it would be nice to see a bigger wave form as theres no use or seeing the jog wheel on the screen since u have a real jog wheel to see

I just bought one. There is no sampler at release. Algoriddim is planning on adding a add-on sampler to Djay later. The hot-cue buttons may act as a pseudo sampler I suppose.

But with a MIDI controller, you have everything pre-mapped and loaded with FX, loops, cue points and other great stuff. The club provide you the basics, but nothing more. Sure, you can pull out great things with Pioneer or Denon, but let's face it: A super-efficient MIDI controller mapped with clever tricks beats any DJM-CDJ booth.

Nice review, Sadly this reminds of the ipod mixers that came out. The sale point you can incorporate your ipad. The problems with ipads are numerous from difficult to get accurate control using fingers and also lack of hard drive storage . Have the people that design these mixers forgot that many actual working djs use microphones. One mic input is poor.

Does it have Key lock? So I change the BPM of one track with out the pitch being changed with it

not digging the ipad as a screen to mix off . looked small and hard to read .. I dont know why they put scrastching options in these things . never ever seen one come close to a real deck for the scratch.. overall the peic of kit looks fit but dont see anything great about it . And i recon its gonna cost even more with the ipad gimmick

Why not make it for android pads too. And take pad out of middle let it slide in at top. To make room for more control.. ummmm...I'm just saying. .$500 really. ....

a midi controller in a club its a big no no. the club will provide you with equipments. dont get me wrong. im not a midi hater. in fact i got one my self. but i only use it on weddings mobile gigs etc etc... a club wouldnt be a club if the dont have atleast a pair of pioneer,denon,numark or stanton standard decks cdjs or vinyl. its just my point of view no pun intended.

so sad that iPad is bigger than Jog's :(

with out Hard Drive support this thing is just a toy.
