    Thanks for this very thorough video. I think Bokeh has a CoC limit value set up to emulate the real physics of the lens - hence the defocus difference in the far background corner between ZDefocus and Bokeh. So in that regards, Bokeh should be more accurate.

    Focus breathing is simply the lens field of view varying depending on focus distance... I would simply put a transform node after the defocus and link the scale to the focal point of the zdefocus with an expression. You'd need a bit of (simple) math to get it in the ballpark.

    PxF_IDefocus is great. And I never new about that max kernel size issue. Can PxF_IDefocus be adjusted to have a camera input to drive the defocus from lens geo. knob parameters?

    Hi, thanks for this tutorial. I didn’t also know bout these limitations in Bokeh. A quick out of the box question please. Do you know your MoBlur before or after glows and glints in a full CG shot please?

    For subtle glows, I think you can safely apply after moblur. For really pingy glints, my instinct would be do them on the sharp plate and apply moblur on top. If your source image has complex motion blur from motion vectors, I would consider creating the glints over black, doing vectorblur on the glints, then adding on top of the moblur image.
