Nuitrack | Another SDK vs Nuitrack SDK

Ғылым және технология

NUITRACK™ - Nuitrack SDK is Kinect Azure SDK replacement. After Kinect's departure, it provides an alternative as a cross platform skeletal tracking and gesture recognition solution for Android, Windows, Linux, and iOS platforms.
Features:
- Full body tracking (19 joints)
- Gesture recognition
- User masks and 3D point cloud
- Standing and sitting poses
- Unity and Unreal Engine plugins
- OpenNI compatible
- 3D sensor independent (supports Orbbec Astra/Persee, Asus Xtion Pro/Live, LIPS, Intel RealSense, Kinect Gen 1)
- Face recognition (comming soon).

Hi, What is the sensor in this video? It doesn't look like Astra nor Xtion.

Hi, Your video result is good. We also try the Nuitrack SDK, but it not stable. If the joints are blocked by the body, the skeleton model is not stable. Could you share your experience to us? Thank you.

we are encountering this problem too, when the limbs are overlapping with the body, and when the body turn side. Did you find a solution later?

Can you save the data for replay later?

Nuitrack is just middleware SDK that outputs positions of 19 body joints at 30 fps, so you need a separate application (end user) to save/process/analyze this data...

We tested Nuitrack compared to cubmos and Kinect. Kinect has the best sdk but they aren't making more devices. Nuitrack was pretty good too. However, the deal-killer is that they don't support the newest lidar real sense cameras. Cubmos does. So if you have the L515 or newer you should get the cubmos. I think it is a basic problem with how they have the project structured. Since they aren't reading the latest install real sense dll they will always be behind in terms of which devices they can support. If they updated the project to dynamically link to whatever is the latest installed dll then they would have a much better product.

FYI - L515 is supported by Nuitrack from 2020Q4, so currently it shouldn't be a deal-killer :-) We are thinking on restructuring of SDK, the problem is that we need to make a skeleton quality assurance during adding support for any new sensor.
