Nuggets lose Game 7, is there an issue with blaming fatigue for the loss? | NBA | SPEAK

Спорт

The Denver Nuggets lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves after leading by 15 at the half. Nuggets HC Michael Malone said that the “guys are gassed, they’re dead tired.” Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, James Jones, and LeSean McCoy ask if it’s fair for the Nuggets to blame fatigue for the loss.

The coach needs to accept responsibility for the loss, they were not fatigued because they played extra games last year or played more this year. They were fatigued because he played them the whole game. No players should ever play more than 36 minutes. That’s why you have a bench. Everybody in the NBA can play. Play your darn bench coach !!!! quit making excuses for your bad decisions

If there is blame to be placed on the Nuggets, it's the total lack of scoring by the Nuggets bench. While the Wolves had almost everyone that played scoring double digits. You don't win with only 2 players doing almost all the scoring.

No one made these excuses for the Lakers and Heat in 2021 after they had the shortest offseason in American professional sports history. They had like 72 days off before the next season started after playing in the 2020 finals and they played a compressed season with multiple back to backs and 3 games in 4 nights.

Fatigue is a part of the game. When Kobe was fatigued he knew what to do, he adapted to find a way to win, to practice shots when fatigued to know what to go to. Curry was fatigued, Lebron was fatigued. Teams literally try to wear other players down, doubling them, literally having a sub in just to foul a star to get them fatigued! To go on a championship run you have to be ready for that. You have to find a way to win close, physical games. Timberwolves wore them out, Timberwolves were the better team.

They lost. Blaming fatigue is an easy out. That’s why going back to back is very hard. They were the hunted and couldn’t handle the pressure. The Bulls in the 90s, Lakers in the 2000s, Lakers in the 2010s, Lebron 8 straight, GS 5 straight. We need to give these teams more credit. It’s not easy making these long runs. They are a good team. They will probably be back next year.

lol so last year the Lakers faced Nuggets in CF and lost everyone said they looked gassed and a better team shouldn’t be gassed yet. Y’all were talking Jokic top 10 higher, dynasty talk, then they lose in 2nd round and suddenly “fatigue” is an issue. What a joke. Maybe Nuggets had an easy path last year with little adversity. Jokic and Nuggets have never won a playoff series against a team that had 50+ wins in regular season. They are 0-5. It’s not fatigue, they are front runners…
