Nuetech Tubliss Gen 2.0 Kit Review
www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/n...
The Nuetech Tubliss Gen 2.0 Kit allows for 100 PSI of rim protection and increased tire stability by creating two different pressure zones inside the tire itself. As a replacement to traditional inner tubes, the Nuetech Tubliss Gen 2.0 Kit brings the off-road riding game into a new era with a combination of technological advancements, and an ardent focus on bettering the dirt-tire experience. Additional features of the Nuetech Tubliss 2.0 Kit include the ability to run a lower overall tire pressure (and thus getting much better traction), reducing overall tire weight, and improved tire longevity.

Tubliss is the best upgrade so far. The added traction gains are the biggest benefit that I’ve seen. It’s almost like cheating! I never had a pinch flat, so I wasn’t worried about that. I first installed it on my rear tire, and that was amazing! Now I’ve added front Tubliss, and it’s a noticeable improvement. If I want a stiffer sidewall for cornering on a hard track, I can always put in more pressure. But it’s also lighter than heavy duty tubes. So it’s worth doing for any and all of those reasons.

I have installed numerous tubliss systems on dirt bikes. One BIG disadvantage is if/when you dent your rim because of 1.) the very low air pressure you’re running in your tire and 2.) the speed you’re riding when you hit a sharp edged anything will cause the tire to lose it’s air because it can’t seal against the rim anymore due to the dent. Now you’re stuck on the side of the trail pulling out the whole tubliss system and you guessed it.....adding a conventional tube so you can ride home. This is ASSUMING you brought all the necessary tools and a spare tube on your ride........HIGHLY UNLIKELY :) I switched to a mousse ....end of problems with the tires Period.

I like to use Armor All to lube the TuBliss bladder and tire when installing. Soap and water works of course, but Armor All is slicker and it doesn't dry out fast like soap and water can. Just don't get it all over your brake rotor and tire tread 😆 Unless riding really slow, I think the 0-10 PSI range, especially if in the lower end and for the front tire, is aggressive. Run your front tire that soft and it really risks dinging the rim. The high pressure bladder will likely be fine, but now you have zero PSI and a bent rim. A bike can be ridden slowly with zero PSI and an intact high pressure bladder, which is cool. Just

@Sound Money the worst of both world, you need TL puncture kit for small hole, if it is a big hole you are done like with TL Whole point or Tube with spoke rim is to be able to repair nearly every size of damage to tire... We are speaking of enduro flat tire, not nail on street, especially enduro flat at low pressure = huge stone hole. Now try to dismount and rearm the 100PSI shit on a trail....

QUESTON: Okay motor heads let me run something by you. I spoke to a mechanic at my local Honda dealer about this product and he raised some interesting points. He stated "Having 2 valve on the tire concerns me for 2 reasons; first, it makes it more difficult to balance the tire and my second concern is what this would cause for faster wear and tear on the tire. I believe that the tire would be unbalanced and cause you to have a bumpy ride and cause uneven tire wear." I'm not sure but I think what he's saying makes sense. What do you think or know about this?

I'm not sure how you bent your rim, but I can tell you that I haven't had any problems yet, and most do not. I can imagine the possibility, however, of catching a sharp rock with just the edge of a tire, especially one that doesn't offer much coverage past the rim edge, and potentially bending it. However, if given the same tire pressures and conditions, I'm sure you would have bent your rim with a tube at least as badly, if not worse. Even at 0 PSI, which simply means that the pressure in the tire matches the atmospheric pressure, not that you have a flat tire, there is still protection from both chambers, including the 110 psi inner bladder. If you ride just as hard with a flat tire, I think you're bound to dent a rim. Riding on a flat should only be to "limp" back to the truck if needed.

These are the worst systems. Only hailed because "you don't get flats" (which is a lie, all this system does is prevent blowouts, if you're trail riding you're gonna be flat eventually.) These are a hassle to install, expensive and just complicated. If you install a tube + rim lock you'll be fine. Not to mention, try installing one of these out in the boonies, you bet your ass you're gonna be kicking yourself if you don't have multiple spoons and the lip tool they provide. I've said it before, if I ever open my own shop, and someone asks for a tubeless install, I'm going to laugh at them and tell them to get out or buy a tube.
