Ren said that the director told him that the viewers did not want to see the playfulness that he brought to the show, but rather they wanted to see the intense atmosphere and battles. And since Ren's personality was not like that, he ended up getting cut a lot. This makes me mad, but at the same time I'm happy Ren didnt change his personality just for the show. fans will now have the opportunity to know how amazing he is when they promote :)
