What is the objective of this interview. It is important to let India know about Nagas and its struggle and what past situations led to the current ones. But Mr. Pillai seems one sided, arrogantly minimising the Nagas and our Culture. Have Mr. Pillai even visited Nagaland?. Why are you discussing how insignificant Naga issue is? We the "insignificant" Nagas without any arms witheld the Mighty India with all its firearms and ammunitions and made India to withdrew from the then Naga hills area. How can Mr. Pillai quoting "their idea of sovereignty" blatantly belittle us. Do you see any similarities between the cultures of the rest of India and Nagas? How can you just skip by the real fact that ur India did not even know the existence of Nagas unless for the British government and how can you skip the fact that "you" falsely occupied our land and ruled us for decades.
India will never respect the Nagas sentiment, the world says India is the largest democracy but for us Nagas,India is the most ruthless rulers they have tried their best to wipe us out but we are still here, your Army had killed two lakhs and eighty thousands innocent Nagas
G.K Pillai sound so Arrogant. Talks like he knows everything about the Nagas. Wish he visit the Naga Hill areas about the British occupied our Land.
This is a historical overview of Naga Issue by a one sided Bureaucrat!!
It would be fair if some Nagas were present or as a panelist during this conversation... Nagas were never part of indian princely state.
Mr. Pillai need to humble himself before Babu Gandhi jee's statement towards Naga rights. Otherwise He is just acting great to himself and challenging to whole Naga for no reason. Keep it in mind Naga by History are totally different from the indians. To speak the truth , we are totally sick of indian rules and policy that coppy from british....time to end up those silly mistakes and focus on others rights as well. Thank you.
The type of attitude GK Pillai, like most Indian officials possessed, makes Nagas more Disturbing
Pillai don't know anything of positivity of the Nagas, he needs some more homework to be done
Isn't this Mr. Pillai the one who is much talked about that he became a millionaire just by serving the state of Nagaland? I can't digest how he's talking shit about Nagaland as if he knows every history of the Nagas.. The way he speaks clearly reflects he's totally against the Naga solution.
Naga has a similiar situation like India , where in India was divided into several different group and their was no sence of India nationalism until late ..
It is for people like you that the nagas' struggle will continue and the public will continue to pay high taxes and loss of their armies...
The oldman doesn’t understand the difference between being recognised as separate naga identity and indian identity
Fascinating discussion. I like the flexible stand on flag. Statehood is a good thing. Should be given to all , including Delhi. Unless the population is a " couple of lakhs".
Without separate flag and constitution Indian should not spend time to think about negotiation
Mr.Pillai though well educated has poor knowledge about the nagas
The Kashmir and Naga issue is not same read history of both Kashmir and Naga national movement.
Bias, illogical, one sided talk by mr pillai
Forget draft agreement. Gajani Feku don’t even remember NRC ever discussed.
The 16th point agreement was signed without the consent of top officials and president az phizo from the naga army. The agreement was a joke to begin with.
Free Nagaland 🙏
