I have heard of a mysterious ghost light near Maco, North Carolina. The story goes that the caboose of a passing freight train came uncoupled and was left behind. The conductor on board realized this and waved his lantern to try to warn the another train that the line was blocked but to no avail and the train crashed in the caboose, killing the conductor instantly. In the morning, when the body was found, it was decapitated and the head was never found. They say that the light is the lantern of the conductor as his ghost is searching around the tracks searching for his head. However, the tracks that passed through Maco were removed in the early 70s and the light has not been seen since.

I actually first heard about this on a railroad page-a-day calendar.

Boy, this story really had me spooked in a couple of places. The snow was good for effect. We got some good connection between Thomas and Daisy, given they didn't interact much in the Railway Series. If you ask me, the Conductor should've just jumped onto the other track. It was the most logical choice.

Chilling (no pun intended). Really great work.

When I saw the ghost, I thought it was old Dean Morris, and I was thinking "Were Bear and Douglas not enough for him?" Other than that, really good and scary.

I was truly concerned for daisies health in this episode.

Damn, I was ready to assume the worst for Daisy when the video started to shudder. Excellent comeback!

This was great, I wish we had more writers that do good ghost stories.

Nice one. A cold episode brightened up the hot weather.

Awesome story. That sure was a creepy one.

when Daisy said "Dear" like that it made me think of Mrs Doubtfire. Though it does somehow suit the more mellowed side of her personality.

That was a really good video Aaron and I'm going to say this that Mike (The Buried Truck) did a amazing job on writing and narrating the episode! :)

I got some questions for the legend of the ghost. 1. Even if he did jump into the water it would not have killed him since the bridge was pretty short in height. 2. It was a 2 way bridge so why did he jump into the water? 3. The Locomotive was not travelling at high speed. Thus, how does this make it a grave situation?

1 maybe he hit a big rock killing him 2 he was in such a hurry to get out of the way he jumped 3 maybe there was ice and the loco was going faster than it puts on

1. The ice was most likely thin at that time. He could have fallen through the ice and drifted far out. 2. The engine was most likely feet away from him and he probably thought it wasn’t that great of a fall. So he dove over the side because he was frantic and didn’t know what to do. 3. Steam engines can be moving slow, yet they can still go as fast as a human running. The engine must have been feet away.

Now this was quite a spooky story. It nearly had me spooked during the night time scenes. Thomas, Toby and Daisy's parts were played very well. Now I wonder who's going to be spooked next.

Oh man, that was awesome! It's always a pleasure to watch one of your videos, and, much as I understand you must be pretty busy, I'm glad you are still not done with these! I love your Thomas ghost stories, and your NRS stories, but this time, you've really outdone yourself! I especially loved the bit when Daisy's rails shook beneath her - I totally didn't see that one coming! Also, I was wondering, could you help me? I downloaded Thomas, Edward, Henry and the Troublesome Truck pack from Si3D for TANE, but I can't get the trucks' faces to change, nor can I move the engines' eyes - and I tried using the additional tools option. I can change the engines' faces, just not the eyes. Do you know how to fix this?Thanks!

i love ur naroration!

this gave me plenty of chills up and down my spine. Despite the bloopers (which I did find funny), this was another great story.

Again I love your graphics, both for being true to the original C Reginald Dalby drawings (and his successors) and for their general accuracy and realism. I noticed that Annie and Clarabelle are at last true to the originals - bogie coaches instead of ex LBSCR four wheelers. Thomas will be pleased (And a good tale, nicely told as well.)

Just seen this for the first time. I like the story itself - Good for Daisy, standing up for herself. And I definately liked the graphics and snow effects, which were so authentic they make you feel cold to watch them. One small niggle - Daisy really sits far too high off her underframe; the buffer beam is way too low. Thats odd, because so much else in your graphics are reall accurate.

Reminds me of a story I read called The headless figure or something like that, the story goes like this a bummer brakeman and his friend were on a dangerous part of the line they worked on, the brakeman's friend was on the top of the train when the insedent happened, part of the train derailed and the brakeman on top of the train was thrown off and his head was cut off. After the insedent happened the brakeman got a better job as a engineer but he wouldn't go back to the part of the line that his friend was killed but he went there any way but at a slow speed every one else thought he was scared but he told them he was being careful. One day in March wall it was raining he went on the run where his friend was killed he saw a old red oil lamp he told the fireman to see what was wrong he came back and said that he didn't see it and told him to start up the train but he wasn't convinced so he went to see the problem he saw a man in old brakeman's clothes and the red oil lamp he asked what's wrong but got no response he shined his own lamp at the figure an saw the reason why he didn't respond he had no head after seeing the figure without a head it disappered the engineer knew the figure appeared for a reason he walked up the tracks and saw a huge ass rock block the tracks he knew the lamp of the train wouldn't have caught the rock until it was too late after the Boulder was removed he knew the figure was his friend he risined as soon as he got back he knew he got one warning he might not get another.

Guessing this takes place shortly after Branch Line Engines.

The engine should know by now if some ghost appears out I nowhere they should ask Skarloey Rhenaes or Edward those 3 have been in sodor for decades and know a lot of the islands history Edward knows the history of the mainland and branch lines while Skarloey and Rhenaes know the history of their own little line

I'm afraid he won't tell you. It's because he won't take requests for episodes or questions about upcoming episodes. Can't say I blame him, myself, and, if you ask me, the episodes he makes are always worth watching, so so much the better, otherwise it may ruin the surprise.

RIP my ears at the Scenes with Daisy and the Guard, that melody is so damn lout that you almost can't hear the dialog :(

For the next one, I recommend you do one about a ghost train, one that worked the line before Thomas, and had a freak accident.
