If the allegations are true, then I’m definitely with the player on this. It’s weird how public reception works. We need a crackdown on improving mental health after a massive stabbing incident but when young men report traumatic incidents they’re mocked and called “weak”, “sook” etc. I guess in a league like the NRL that has historically perpetuated toxic masculinity, this is nothing new.
