NRK Journalist asks Israeli representative difficult questions ref the war in Gaza
I like to think of myself as a fair and just person. I have no grievance against Jews, Palestinians or anybody. However I do believe the war currently being prosecuted by Israel - who receive billions in aid yearly from the USA - against the Palestinians who are basically living in a walled prison and on aid life support, is terribly unjust and it seems like the Israelis have just thrown out the humanitarian rulebook in their lust for vengeance.
Its almost like the victims become the abusers.
This is an interview by an incredibly good Norwegian reporter putting some difficult direct questions to an Israeli representative and its obvious the guy has no answers. All he can do is reply with B-S and try to argue his way out of it which is not possible.
Well - watch and make your minds up.

I would say that I am sure that the majority of people on BOTH sides of this terrible and destructive conflict are normal and want nothing but peace. There are extremists on both sides and somehow they keep this going. There has to be a better way. With repect to the interviewer's very polite and fact based approach, I would urge all who comment here from making statements that can be perceived as racist slurs in either direction.

I’m not so sure that it’s a journalism masterclass, but in fact a reflection of the wonderful free press laws in place in Norway 🇳🇴. Don’t get me wrong, the interview is fantastic, but here in the UK, and certainly in the US and Germany these questions would loose a journalist their job. That’s the problem.

Don’t get me wrong, the interview is fantastic, but here inthe UK, and certainly in the US and Germany these questions would loose a journalist their job. That’s the problem.

To be fair I think the spokesman was referring to the Oct 7 acts as a genocide (although he may have changed direction mid sentence realizing he was making a classic mistake). Not sure that really makes it better but just saying,

I think I accidentally deleted somebodies reply. Sorry about that. Yes I am afraid I think it cannot be said Israel is a democracy any more. If it was, Netanyahu would be kicked out of office and banged up in prison for corruption. This war is his only ticket to staying free. It is frankly unbelievable they do not get rid of him and put him in a cell where he belongs. A lot of Israelis and Palestinians will suffer because of him.

He keeps mentioning the host’s name like they are buddies. Girl, pls! Also, what’s going on with that state? First, they had the delusional British guy, Levy, who hosts press conferences from his bedroom. Now, they have this chubby guy, another British, as a the senior spokesperson for their state. In all the area from the river to the sea they don’t have one single person capable of speaking on behalf of their country?! Weird. I wonder if that’s because none of them is willing to lie on international media outlets and pretend they care about the Palestinians. I mean we all saw and heard how unhinged and barbaric they are from their president and all the way down.

An interview of Abby Martin with Francesca Albabese is for me the best so far on this horrific slaughter. This is the worst, but not at all for the qualities of this norwegian interviewer. I feel there were several cuts in this video, they mentioned 13000 Hamas soldiers and 6000 Israeli soldiers killed, while we do know many of them are children which makes it unbelievable. 103 ppl are still hostages and 2000 ppl killed during the October 7 attack. on 11 September 2996 ppl died and the US started 19 years of GWOT. I am living in the Middle East and I hate all the things related to Religion so I don't like either Israel or Hamas cause both have religious thoughts. all I know is that there has never been justice in war, as long as a kid is frightened of the sound of a weapon all the fighters are guilty. I don't pick up a side in wars it is a fail-fail game. To me, the Arabs World and the United Kingdom are the main culprits of this genocide. This could have been prevented years before.

Look at it the other way round. Imagine the jewish people were the ones being fenced in and their land taken. Please just think about that for a moment.

I was making fun of the notion that the everything from critical journalism, pro-Palestinian protests, calls for ceasefire to calls for the rules of war to be upheld is "supporting Hamas" or "antisemitic", just like @blackforest885 was contemplating that NKR must be funded by Hamas, because they dare to ask some critical questions about the ongoing genocide. A great interview by the way. You shouldn't happen to know the full name of the journalist? I'd like to see who else he have interviewed.
