i just want to send the data from nrf5240dk to internet , but there is no wifi chip on nrf52840dk ,so i thought ,i can connect nrf52840dk to esp 32 with the bluetooth chip between 2 boards , so the data from the bluetooth of nrf52840dk will be sending to the bluetooth of the esp32 ,then from bluetooth of the esp32, send to the wifi chip on the same board of esp32 , then go to wifi house router ? will it be possible in my way ?

Hi, for the range: nordic have done a test: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qWiExNqPp8qeY7A.html (don't be sure why no one follow the drone with the remote?). Would you use the nRF52840 dongle or the nRF52840 raw? What kind of antenna? For the nRF + MPU consider your voltage source and regulation and if using I²C or SPI with or with out pullup resistors. How to programm the nRF: kind of programming/debugging BUS or OTA?

Hello! I need long range distance in my projects. The chip nrf52840 have it but iit's difficult (or expensive) for production in compare with nrf52832 (due to specific pins locating on the chip). I need something about 100m with one obstacle. It's very pity espressif started to produce esp32 before bluetooth 5 appeared. Do you know smth about any plan of espressif system in direction of bluetooth 5 (I mean long range not just compatible with v.4.2) .

Стас Фролкин Sorry don't know. But this is a good question for the esp32.com forum. But maybe with a good antenna you get a way with the nrf52832 or esp32 at 100m?

When would you use a "nRF52840" chip and when would you use a "esp32" chip ?

if I do somthing with wifi and shortrange ble then esp32. If bluetooth 5.0 or usb or hardware security then nRF52840 but dont know any prices yet. if low power short range ble only then nRF51x.

Hi, can you reveal more infos? OS Version, Segger Software Version and output of lsusb and dmesg? -> mostly dmesg gives you a clue. -> are you getting an attached usb filesystem (this is what the nRF52840 boards do)? Thank you and have a nice day
