Nozawa Onsen ski trip | 5 Things to do | Japan travel vlog

Hi, if you’re looking to visit Nozawa Onsen and would like food recommendations, this video is packed full of them! This was our very first ski trip in Japan and we spent 5 days in the village staying with family.
Below are some things you may want to do if you visit. Though not captured in this video, we recommend visiting a few more public hot spring baths. There are over 10 bath houses in the village and they are a wonderful way to relax after a day on the slopes.

    Thanks for the video!!! Can you go there for a 2 day 1 night trip? Do they offer tour packages?

    Hi, if you’re not planning to ski or snowboard a 2 day 1 night trip would work great. The most popular short tour packages I saw on offer there were for snow monkey visits. There is a tourist information centre at Liyama station which features more recommended activities to do in the various towns in the area including Nozawaonsen.

    Hi, there are restaurants around the top of Hikage gondola and we did see some dog walkers around the Paradise area where there are quite a few restaurants too.

    Hi, I’m not sure. There are signs on etiquette and rules in the onsens so you can pop in to have a look at those. Alternatively, there are outdoor open air baths at SPArena where you can enter with a swimsuit.

    Hi, I stayed at a relative’s house within the village. As the village is not that big, as long as you are staying near one of the onsens, most places should be within walkable distance 😊 hope that still helps!

    I’ve never skied before, but im going with my family soon and i was wondering if you book entry to the ski place or just pay for the lift?

  • @Ko_Abroad

    @Ko_Abroad

    7 ай бұрын

    Hi, we bought a multi day lift pass from the ticket counter at Nagasaka Gondola station which you can also buy online in advance. If you have not skied before we highly recommend booking ski lessons, you can do this online in advance and may not need to get a lift pass depending on the type of lesson you are taking. Wishing you a super fun visit! 😊
