Hey follow me on Twitter too definitely helps I put a whole bunch of tech info out before lot of the bigger channels even Linus this channel gets some of it so if you want to learn about new processors computer stuff electronics in general not even computers go to that channel video games everything out there

I've got that model and it's got issues. One being it doesn't flash the ports reliably with it being a hit and miss affair but worst of all, It persistently reports 1G ports as 100M, even on the same port, it will switch between the 2 with inconsistent results, problem being, you now can't be confident that it's reporting the *negotiate and duplex* parameters correctly either. Once you lose confidence in the results from a piece of test gear it effectively becomes useless under fault finding conditions

Thanks for your info I will look out for it for mine I usually test with two testers I have another one too just to make sure but yes that's why it's always good to have two cuz sometimes they go bad or they're just bad at the beginning and you never know lol Hope you so glad for the info have a rock and rolling day peace out

please i need you to learn us how to check POE switch port and what this device should showing to us when the port is good and when the port is not good or defective please

Thanks for the overview! Usually cable length testers require only one end to be plugged into the device, are you sure this one needs both ends to be plugged in?

i tested on a cat 8 cable and it did not work and it was powering my wireless ap and did not work could not tell there was powering threw it and i test cat 5 too unless I'm not understanding you

Just giving you a heads up if you plug one end of the ethernet into your POE switch and the other one into your tester it'll tell you what POE it supports but it will only go up to POE plus it does not support POE plus plus

You are correct. No, it doesn't and shouldn't be plugged into anything at the other end according to the mfg..

@@mcscapsuletech No such thing as CAT 8 cable yet. You fell for Chinese marketing hype/bs.

The length function requires the far side not to be plugged in.

Yeah I found that out after I made the video cuz it wasn't working at first and I realized the batteries have that I used it weren't new and I thought they were new so there wasn't a power to go through the cable so wasn't working for some reason but yeah it's working now I appreciate letting me know I should edit the video in KZread video editing 280 can't read upload videos I should make a follow up video what do you think should I make a follow up video or short

Does this work with finding the cable in a switch with POE and on the other end is a keystone jack. IE leave the toner at keystone and go to the switch with the wand will it trace the correct cable ?

I'm pretty sure it can detect which cables have POE in it and you'll be able to identify them but I will make sure before I tell you anything when I get home today after work I will let you know please sub stay tuned more cool videos to come I appreciate everything I appreciate the comment and the question have a great rest of your day and I look forward for me when I get home I'll get right back to you

@@ryanhosiassohn7176 so I got home and I tried it it does not work I wish it would but I mean if you go all the way to where the connector goes into the switch it will tell you that it's there's power going through it but it won't do it through the cable when you touch the cable with it Hope this helps

Wanted to give you a heads up though if you connect let's say you have one of your cords plugged into a POE switch and you plug the adapter into it it can tell you that that handles POE and what POE it does but it only goes up to PE plus not POE plus plus cuz that's too new but yeah it does tell you that but you physically have to plug the adapter into the device but I wouldn't run 24 volt I'd be too afraid for breaking

At 8:25 you say also the G for ground testing will show on FTP cable. Are you sure about that? I looked at sevral video's and also the spec's on different listing. There is no evidence of that. On the other hand I saw a video of the cheaper NF488 and there I see indeed this G showing.

Can you test a rollover and crossover RJ45 Ethernet Cable on this LAN Cable Tester?

Are you talking about the test crossover cables and all that and roll over for console ports

@@mcscapsuletech No. What console ports are you talking about? The ports of the router, fiber modem, dsl modem, switch, hub and bridge? What I was talking about is if you make your own Crossover and Rollover cable then testing these two kinds of cables on this Noyafa cable tester, will this tester read it properly if it is a pass or fail? It seems to me that it is only reading straight through cables correctly but not crossover and rollover.

@@awakenedsoul2638 so I made the cables and on the diagram where it shows the connection type it just shows the cables crossing but it doesn't say fail or anything it just shows you know this cable's going to this cable and this cable's going to that cable is that worth a video for you or is that all you wanted to know
