not sure if you know that but on prinoth machines theres a double down setting on the suspension ment for pushing. Just sets the supension all they way down and gives you a different attack angle for the blade. I fully agree it feels more like pushing onto the pile in your blade than actually pushing it with Prinoths. Hope you do get back into this line of work again greatly enjoy the videos! :)

That’s only on the Leitwolf, the Bison X does not have adjustable suspension. I’m very familiar with Prinoth’s, we have several Bison x, Leitwolf free-cats and winch-cats and a few huskies. The Prinoth blade geometry is what lets it down for pushing, that and the lag in the track controls. Good machines for grooming, not the best for pushing.

Great video. One of the best of the season. Great camera angles and the sun makes all the difference with the great visibility. Liked to commentary about the difference in operating the two brands of cats. That is interesting in the completely different ways to operate the ground movement. I don’t know much about the prinoth but I just assumed it was like the PB. Thanks for the insight. I also noticed the window defrost wires. They really are distracting. Glad they corrected that on the new cats. BTW, nice side piece. 😂

The window wires do get annoying, I usually run that thing with the windows open so I can see better. Not sure why they still use those in the window when their new Leitwolf has nice, clear side windows. Maybe in the next model they’ll sort it.

Do you have a grooming tutorial for the bison x?
