@@prometheustv6558 They were past their prime and had a terrible manager. They won the league in 04/05, 05/06, and 09/10. Came second in 03/04, 06/07, 07/08, 10/11. Had the same core of players. Cech, Terry, Lampard, and Drogba deserved to win a UCL.

Ashley Cole wasn't just Chelsea's best left back ever.... Wasn't just the best left back in the PL ever.... He was probably the best left back in the modern era of the game (90s onwards). If he was a Brazilian....we would be creaming about him like Roberto Carlos..

Evra & AshleyCole are the same age. Evra ManUtd player from 2006 to 2014, AshleyCole Chelsea player from 2006 to 2014. ManUtd dominated the PL in this period. Chel$ea didn't, Evra was a main ManUtd player and also beat Cole in a champions league final & was the better of the 2 LB's in that game. How you don't remember all that is absolutely beyond me. Not to mention Evra had way more success in Seria A than Cole (again same period of time). Evra got to a CL final with Monaco when Cole failed to even reach semi's with Arsenal "Invincibles". Cole never got further than QF of a major tournament with England, Evra at least got to 1 international final. Cole couldn't even win anything with the most famous MLS team La Galaxy. And Irwin was better than Evra. Cole is barely in the conversation, was he even better than P.Neville?? Many arguments suggest not. Maybe if P.Neville was less versatile they'd have to throw him into the conversation and even he got a lot of criticism but very successful with ManUtd, both footed, versatile etc...played a big part in just as many if not more PL title wins than league winners medals AshCole managed throughout his career despite Cole playing with strong candidates throughout his career.
