    Syngekhoomei, there are published editions which change "upon the greeny grass" to "a-dancing on the grass." I suspect it's to spare the delicate sensibilities of younger singers-or, more likely, school authorities-who might imagine (correctly) that they were doing something "naughty" together upon the grass with the original lyrics.

    ​​@@owades c'mon this is so evident. Which child won't get it? All of traditional songs praise physical joy lest the love of god and vice versa ( see Greensleeves became a Christmas Carol ).

    If an a capella group goes slightly flat, it doesn't matter, as long as they all go flat by the same amount. It is only a problem if they don't stay together.
