Novsight Halo Pod Lights Jeep Install & Review

‪@NovsightAutoLighting‬ reached out and offered to send over some Halos for me to check out, install, and see what I thought. I previously had 4 Rigid 3" spot cubes on my A-Pillars and this was a big move for both looks and performance to jump to 2 Halo 6" spot pods. This video has the install, comparison, and review of the Halos. Spoiler... they're pretty freakin cool.

I used to watch other KZreadrs showing off bits of the Halo ring light, but dang, I didn't know it could shine so bright! Your video really blew me away with its effects. It's like a spotlight, just lighting up the front without spreading out. Can't wait to see you slap on a pair of floodlights on the bumper soon!!!🤩

If you’re not using a switch or tying directly into the light wiring I don’t believe they are necessary. They are activation wires, but the Novsight buttons themselves can control everything for you manually. You should be able to cap off the yellow and green wires. May want to ask Novsight tho to be sure.

I wired mine up to separate switches (yellow for drl and green for spot). Every time I power my truck on, the light is white. I’m referring to the halo. I don’t know if that makes any sense. Is that happening with you as well?

So far when I power up the Halo with my tie fighter Auxbeam switch button (yellow wire) it's defaulting to the amber. The Novsight switch itself shows white, but amber is the halo color on display. So there's some funkiness using the multi-switch. I long-pressed off the lights on the novsight switch before getting the auxbeam to take over. I did this while in amber mode. Not sure if that helps!

My switches are comparable to yours. I just have a different brand. I have the Voswitch. Essentially, minded exactly the same thing. I am going to do what you did. But let me ask you one more thing, did you have your switch box unplugged when you did the long button turn off on the Novsight switch? or did you just have the auxBeam powered down and then you press the button on Novsight? But the only reason I ask, is because I did the exact same thing. I just pressed the power button on my switches. Maybe I should unplug the switches, then try it.

@@mattsaul6187 Auxbeam is on while I do it. I probably won't mess with mine much since I'm planning on running the amber color for halo only (not too into the white) and the spot just does it's thing uncovered or with the cover on.

@@DarksideOffRoad I completely understand. I feel the same. The lights are outstanding and look so cool. Both my 6inch are the spot flood combo. But both of them are lacking the flood part lol. They are essentially Batman lights. Diode Dynamics four pin Y-splitter works to power them.
